BetOnline LogoDuring UFC 226, Cormier knocked out Miocic in the first round to capture the heavyweight title. Since then Cormier has held the title for 400 days entering tonight’s rematch.

Cormier has been on a hot streak as of late. His last loss came in 2015 against Jon Jones at UFC 182. Since then, he has battled his way to 7 wins and 1 no contest (against Jones). Overall, Cormier is 22-1 with 1 no contest during his career.

Miocic is returning to the octagon for the first time since losing the belt to Cormier. In his career, Miocic is 18-3, with 14 of those wins coming from knockout.

Miocic hits harder than Cormier, but Cormier has the skill advantage. Since this is a heavyweight bout, there is always the possibility that Miocic can land that one strike that buckles and eventually drop Cormier.

Miocic also has the height and reach advantage over his opponent. To win this bout, Cormier will need to reach into his bag of tricks to avoid the power and strength of Miocic.

Cormier has already proven once he can take care of Miocic, but can lightning strike twice at UFC 241?
