The World Series could be decided tonight. With the Houston Astros traveling back home owning a 3-2 series lead, they will have two attempts at clinching the title in front of their home town fans.

The Washington Nationals blew a 2-0 series lead and are now one loss from elimination. They have already won two games in Houston, can they win two more to win themselves their first-ever World Series?

Game 6 will be decided tonight, but what will the margin of victory be?

BetOnline LogoThrough the first five games, only one game has been decided by one run. Games 2, 4 and 5 were decided by 9, 7 and 6 runs respectively, so both teams have been able to produce runs while limiting the opposition.

Game 3 finished with the Astros winning 4-1. So only two of the five games played finished in close fashion. This is interesting moving into tonight, especially if you’re putting money on the margin of victory.

Stephen Strasburg and Justin Verlander are on the bump for the Nationals and Astros tonight. We’re well versed in how controlling these two can be on the mound.

However, Verlander has been rocked in World Series games before, so it wouldn’t shock me if he gets hit around the ballpark tonight. As I mentioned in a previous article, Verlander has the weight of the world on his shoulders pitching tonight. All previous turmoil (in the WS) could fade away with a victory. Can he close out the game tonight?

Houston winning by 4 or more runs is listed at +325, while the Nationals winning by 3 or more runs is +1200. It should be an interesting night.
