London Looks to Knock Out Chicago in Call of Duty Pro League

Zippo partners with NRG's Chicago Huntsmen CoD League team ...

Consistency is key in the Call of Duty Pro League and that’s why the Chicago Huntsmen are among the best.

The Huntsmen have a slim lead in the CDL, currently at the top of the leaderboards with 110 points. The Huntsmen are being hunted however by three teams. Minnesota, Dallas and Florida trail Chicago by 10 points and could usurp the Huntsmen with a powerful performance this weekend.

Chicago will battle it out against the London Royal Ravens tonight. The two teams both lost their opening-round contest in Group A. Whichever organization loses today will be booted from the tournament and lose out on the prized 50 CDL points.

The Royal Ravens have been a middle of the pack team all season. Topping out during Week 2 in their home country, London hasn’t exactly torched competition but hasn’t been crushed by their opponents either.

Meanwhile, Chicago have been beasts ever since opening the season. They finished first in London, taking home $50,000 in the process as well as 50 CDL points. The Huntsmen have never finished lower than 4th at a single tournament and their one win in London has helped set them apart from the rest.

Scump explains why he's keen for Call of Duty's “stale” offseason ...

If you look at Chicago’s roster, you’ll see a familiar face in the Call of Duty community. Seth Abner, better known as Scump, is a former COD World Champion and has insane montages on YouTube. Scump has been the face of Call of Duty for quite a while and is a huge asset to the Chicago Huntsmen.

If London manages to stifle Scump they can move on from the Losers’ Bracket. Either way, it’s do-or-die for both teams tonight.
