(1)Log into Bovada
Begin by clicking on the “LOGIN” button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
After entering your Email Address and Password, click “LOGIN” to continue.
(2)Select the game/match that you would like to bet on
In this example, we will show you how to place a bet on an English Premier League soccer game. First, click on “SPORTS” from the menu at the top of the screen followed by clicking on “England Premier League” located on the left-hand side.
(3)Select your bet type
One of the easiest to understand bet types is “Money Line” (also known as Full Time Result or 1X2 Match Betting). A Money Line bet means you pick which team you think will either win or tie. In our example above, we have three choices by either picking 1 – Home) West Ham to win, 2 – Away) West Brom to win or X – Draw) West Ham to tie West Brom. In this example, we will pick West Ham to win, therefore we will click on the odds 1.556.
(4)Enter your bet amount
After clicking the odds that you would like to place a bet on, your bet selection will show under “Bet Slip” located on the right-hand side of the screen.
Once you enter your “Risk” (the amount of money that you would like to bet), the amount of profit that you would earn should you win on the bet will be shown automatically in the “Possible Winnings” section.
If you would rather place a bet to win a certain amount of money, enter in the amount of money that you would like to win on a particular bet in the “Win” text box. After entering in a dollar amount, refer to the automatically calculated “Total Stake” figure to see the amount of money you would have to bet in order to win the dollar amount that you specified.
Once you have entered the dollar amount for your bet(s), next click the red “PLACE BETS” button to finalize your bet(s).
※ Other Bet Options
If you refer to the screenshot below, you will see “+128 Bets >”, etc. to the right of the teams’ names. If you click on this link, all available bet types (128 in this example) will be shown to you for this particular game.
Examples of other bet options
Double Chance
A “Double Chance” bet means that you can place one bet on two different outcomes such as 1) the home team wins or ties (West Ham / Draw), 2) the away team wins or ties (West Brom / Draw) or 3) no tie score, which means either the home team wins or away team wins (West Ham / West Brom).
Correct Score
A “Correct Score” bet means that you can place a bet on what you think will be the final score of the game.
Total Goals
A “Total Goals” bet, also known as a “Goals Over/Under” bet, which is always set at “Over X.5” and “Under X.5”, means that you place a bet on the total number of goals that you think will be scored in a game. “Over 2.5” means that 3 goals or more would be a winning bet while “Under 2.5” means that 2 goals or less would be a winning bet.
Draw No Bet
A “Draw No Bet” bet means that you place a bet on which team you think will win. If the outcome is a draw then your stake will be returned to you and no loss will be incurred.
