Best Boxing Predictions This Week

Karen Chukhadzhian and Jaron Ennis will enter the ring on Saturday night for a rematch almost two years after their first meeting. Pedro Guevara and Jesse Rodriguez will fight in the undercard of the event. We will look at both of these fights as we roll out our weekly boxing predictions.

Pedro Guevara vs. Jesse Rodriguez – Under 8.5 Rounds @ 2.100

Undefeated WBC and Ring Magazine super flyweight champion Jesse Rodriguez (20-0, 13 KOs) will put his title on the line against WBC interim super flyweight champion Pedro Guevara (42-4-1, 22 KOs) at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center before Karen Chukhadzhian and Jaron Ennis meet in the headline act of the night.

Rodriguez has made a name for himself on the West Coast, but this fight gives him the chance to establish himself as a familiar face in the northeastern United States boxing community. The San Antonio fighter boasts a knockout ratio of 65% that demonstrates his fierce punching power.

Jesse Rodriguez makes the most of his 5’4” (163 cm) height and 67” (170 cm) reach to perfect his fighting style. His incredible agility, footwork, and sideways movement allow him to slip punches, respond with his own shots, and deliver powerful combinations.

These attributes powered the 24-year-old  to high-profile wins against Sunny Edwards and Juan Francisco Estrada in his last two outings.

Guevara, the grizzled 35-year-old veteran, will bank on his experience to get past Rodriguez. He relies on a steady defensive stance that lures opponents in and opens up windows for him to exploit.

Having already stood atop the boxing world as a flyweight champion a decade ago, it’s no shock that the Mexican is back in the title hunt. He is only one win away from becoming a world champion again, but does he have what it takes to beat a young and lively fighter like Rodriguez?

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Rodriguez is a master of angles and distance. He’ll use his lightning-fast hands and footwork to outmanoeuvre Guevara, landing clean punches with surgical precision. Given his track record of success against elite-level competition, we expect ‘Bam’ to add Guevara to his list of his victims.

With the winner market heavily skewed in Rodriguez’s favour, we sought better value elsewhere. As noted, Rodriguez is a heavy hitter with an impressive knockout rate, so we’re backing him to get the job done early. We’re taking bookmaker Pinnacle’s odds of 2.100 on the fight ending before the eighth round.

Karen Chukhadzhian vs. Jaron Ennis – Under 6.5 @ 2.250

Jaron Ennis will look to secure back-to-back victories against Karen Chukhadzhian when they meet this weekend in Philadelphia. After his unanimous victory against Chukhadzhian in their first clash, Ennis has risen to become the IBF welterweight champion and now faces the challenge of defending his title in this rematch.

The announcement of Ennis’s rematch with Chukhadzhian came as a big surprise, considering how dominant ‘Boots’ was in the original fight.

With an unbeaten record of 32-0, including 29 knockouts, Ennis has become one of the sport’s most exciting figures. He enjoyed an astonishing 21-fight streak without going the distance before his first encounter with Chukhadzhian in January 2023.

In that fight, Ennis swept every round to secure the interim IBF title in Washington. While Chukhadzhian fell to a heavy defeat, he still managed to push the fight to the final round before ultimately giving in.

Chukhadzhian has shown resilience since then. He bounced back from his loss with three consecutive victories. He earned his spot as the IBF mandatory challenger by capturing and defending the intercontinental title, most recently with a points victory against Harry Scarff in Germany.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

The Ukrainian will aim to avenge his defeat, but it will be a tough challenge to overcome Ennis in his homecoming event in Philadelphia and strip him of the IBF belt. Ennis has been relentless in his recent fights, and Chukhadzhian appears to lack the necessary tools to upset the odds.

The IBF welterweight champion is eyeing bigger fights in the division, so he would like to make a statement here. He has already made no secret of his intentions to “beat up” Chukhadzhian, and we believe he has the ability to do so. Therefore, we are backing him to win this fight by the sixth round.

Best Basketball Prediction This Week

UK NBA fans will be staying up late to watch the Thunder take on the Denver Nuggets in a thrilling NBA matchup early Thursday morning. Here’s our betting prediction for the game:

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets – Nuggets +5.0 @ 2.110

The Denver Nuggets are aiming to extend their winning streak to three when the Oklahoma City Thunder come to Ball Arena on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the Thunder are targeting an eighth consecutive victory to keep their red-hot start going and make an early statement in the title race.

Following back-to-back defeats to the Thunder and the Los Angeles Clippers at the start of their regular season, the Denver Nuggets have since found their rhythm with four wins from their next five matches. He defeated the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets but were narrowly beaten 119-116 by the Minnesota Timberwolves. They then picked up the pieces with victories over the Utah Jazz and, most recently, a 121-119 win against the Raptors.

With a 4-3 record after seven games, Michael Malone’s side sits ninth in the Western Conference. The defending NBA champions are about to face their biggest challenge of the season so far. The Thunder, who they faced in the season opener, are back in Denver only weeks after their 15-point win in the Mile High City.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, led by their youthful core, defied expectations last season by finishing atop the Western Conference. Their playoff run, however, was not as impressive as they bowed out of the second round falling to the Dallas Mavericks.

Last season’s breakout Thunder team faced scepticism about their ability to sustain their high level of play. But their scorching 7-0 start has silenced the doubters and hinted at even greater heights this year.

The Thunder are off to the best start in franchise history and have won all of their matches by double digit margins. In their latest match, they thrashed Orlando Magic in a 102-86 affair.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

At this moment, it’s hard to imagine Mark Daigneault’s team losing a game. However, Denver’s recent form suggests they can make this matchup much tighter than their previous meeting. Nikola Jovic has been in excellent form lately, and his performance could help the home side close the gap to within five points. Therefore, we’re backing the Nuggets to cover the +5 spread at odds of 2.110 at bookmaker Pinnacle

Best American Football Predictions This Week

The Bengals and Ravens will meet in a crucial AFC North showdown in Baltimore on Thursday while the Giants and Panthers will fly to Munich for their NFL week 10 fight. Let’s have a look at the betting prospects of these fixtures.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens – Bengals +6.5 @ 1.892

The Ravens will look for their second straight win when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a divisional showdown under Thursday night lights. Baltimore thrashed the Broncos 41-10 last week, moving to 6-3 with a third straight home victory.

The Bengals, meanwhile, rebounded from their week nine defeat with an impressive home win against the Raiders, with Joe Burrow steering them to their first home win of the year.

With playoff hopes on the line, both teams are in need of a win this Thursday. The Ravens are aiming to stay in pace with the Steelers in the division, while the Bengals, at 4-5, can’t afford to drop many more games if they want to stay in the playoff conversation.

The Ravens are giving up 7.4 yards per pass attempt, ranking 29th in opponent drop back EPA and 23rd in opponent dropback success rate. These numbers suggest they are in for a tough test against the Bengals’ high-powered offence.

With Tee Higgins potentially returning, Cincinnati’s passing attack, already one of the league’s most dangerous, becomes even more menacing. The Ravens already rank fourth in dropback EPA and third in dropback success rate.

After a dominant display from Trey Hendrickson, who posted four sacks and seven quarterback hits against the Raiders, the Bengals will be counting on him for another big game. That said, bringing down the elusive Lamar Jackson will be a much harder task than sacking Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew.

Jackson and Derrick Henry have formed a two-headed rushing attack that has lived up to all the hype, making the Ravens a serious threat on the ground. For the Bengals to stand a chance, they’ll need to put in a concerted effort to prevent Jackson and Henry from dominating the game like they have against most teams this season.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

The Ravens may claim the bragging rights in this one, but we expect a closely contested battle. Zac Taylor’s side showed great resilience against Baltimore the last time they met and might feel unlucky not to have won. While we’re not overly optimistic about a Bengals’ win on the road, we believe they can do enough to cover the 6.5-point spread.

New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers – Panthers to Win @ 3.050

The New York Giants will come across fellow strugglers the Carolina Panthers in a crucial week 10 clash in the Southern German city of Munich. Both teams are tied with the worst record in the league at 2-7, which has significant implications for their 2025 NFL Draft positioning.

The Panthers and Giants enter this game on opposite sides of the result spectrum against their division rivals. Carolina grinded out a hard fought victory against the Saints, while the New Yorkers surrendered to a 22-27 against the Commanders.

Although Dave Canales’s team secured a vital win, the underlying statistics tell a different tale. New Orleans outgained Carolina by a significant margin, amassing 427 yards compared to just 246 for the Panthers. Saints quarterback Derek Carr completed 18 of 31 passes for 236 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. Meanwhile, Alvin Kamara ran riot against the Panthers’ defence, rushing for 155 yards on 29 carries.

The Panthers, meanwhile, put on a solid performance against the NFC East leaders even though they could not win the game. Their struggles in the opposition fourth quarter, however, was laid bare once again.

It feels like the Giants’ offence under Daniel Jones has hit a wall, with scoring coming at a premium. The running game looked solid early against the Commanders, and rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. continues to stand out. That said, the defence struggled to get stops and must improve in crucial moments to make the most of their limited chances.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

This is a match between two teams that have been in terrible form lately. While the Giants arrested their losing streak in their previous game, we were left far from impressed by their performance. Therefore, cheering for an underdog Panthers win could be incredibly rewarding.

Best Cricket Predictions This Week

Next, we head over to Australia for the Women’s Big Bash, where two thrilling match-ups take place on Thursday morning. We’ve got the best betting picks ready for both games.

Brisbane Heat vs. Sydney Thunders – Thunders to Win @ 2.030

Table toppers Sydney Thunder will go head to head against the fourth-placed Brisbane Heat in their next Women’s Big Bash League assignment. The Thunder lead the standings with four points from three games and a strong NRR of 1.158.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Heat have four points to show from four games and an NRR of 0.133. After suffering two straight defeats, Brisbane will be looking to bounce back with a powerhouse performance against the New South Wales outfit.

Sydney Thunder Women have claimed two wins from three matches so far, including a dominant 64-run victory against Adelaide Strikers Women in their latest game. Batting first at North Sydney Oval, they posted a commanding 212-5, before bowling the Strikers out for a mere 148.

Georgia Voll was the star of the show, scoring a remarkable 92 from just 55 balls. Captain Phoebe Litchfield contributed a handy 49 off 31, and Heather Knight added a quick 31 off just 15 balls. These three have been the most consistent batters for the Thunder this season, although they’ll also be hoping for more from Chamari Athapaththu and Tahlia Wilson.

On the bowling front, Samantha Bates has been outstanding, claiming eight wickets in three innings at an economy rate of 5.63. Shabnim Ismail, Hannah Darlington, and Chamari Athapaththu have each taken four wickets.

Brisbane Heat Women started their campaign with two straight victories, but have since suffered two back-to-back losses, including their most recent defeat to Perth Scorchers Women at W.A.C.A. Chasing 143, the Heat were bowled out for just 114, losing by 28 runs.

The Heat has struggled with the bat this season as Grace and Laura Harris have been the only reliable performers in their batting lineup. Their bowling has been impressive with Shikha Pandey, Grace Parsons and Nicola Hancock sharing 14 wickets between them.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Taking the Sydney Thunder for the win at 2.030 odds at bookmaker Pinnacle is a value bet that’s hard to overlook. Unlike Brisbane, they have been in incredible form. So, Sydney should add one more win to their name.

Perth Scorchers vs. Melbourne Renegades – Perth to Win @ 1.925

The Melbourne Renegades have won two matches in a row to put the first points on the board and bring their WBBL campaign back on track. The women in red will now look to ride on this momentum to win against a side they have struggled historically against as they welcome the Perth Scorchers at the Junction Oval.

The World Cup-winning Sophie Devine is the captain of the Perth Scorchers side and she should be happy with how her team started the season. After winning two of their first three matches, including a 28-run triumph over Brisbane Heat Women last time out, they hold the third position in the standings and will be aiming to reach the summit with a convincing win.

In good form, Beth Mooney will be looking to get the innings off to a solid start alongside her captain, Devine. Although Dayalan Hemalatha missed out last time, she’ll need to step up and build partnerships with Amy Jones and Mikayla Hinkley in the middle order.

The bowling unit shone in their last outing, and early breakthroughs will be expected from Chloe Ainsworth and Ebony Hoskin this time around. Alana King, fresh off her five-wicket haul, will be looking to keep the runs in check along with Amy Louise Edgar. Lilly Mills and Sophie Devine add further depth to Melbourne’s bowling department.

Hayley Matthews and Courtney Webb will look to provide a solid foundation for the home side with the bat. The likes of Alice Capsey, Emma de Broughe, and Georgia Wareham are capable of making some quick fire runs in the middle order as well.

The bowlers have impressed in the last two matches, with early breakthroughs expected from Hayley Matthews and Tara Norris. Molineux and Wareham bring valuable experience to control the middle overs, while Deandra Dottin, Alice Capsey, and Sarah Coyte provide solid support to complete the bowling attack.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

The Scorchers boast an impressive record against the Renegades, having won eight of their ten encounters. Paired with Perth’s red-hot form, it’s easy to see why we’re backing them to secure an away win in this clash.

Best Football Predictions This Week

In this week’s football predictions, we will look at three different fixtures from three different competitions.

Marseille vs. Auxerre – Marseille to Win and Both Teams to Score @ 2.830

The Ligue 1 weekend opens with Auxerre, in fine form, visiting the Stade Velodrome to challenge Marseille. Les Olympiens moved up to second place last week, though their home form has been patchy, while Auxerre’s recent impressive run has lifted them up the standings.

Marseille knew they had to recover quickly after their heavy Le Classique defeat to PSG, and they did so with a vital 2-1 win at Nantes last weekend. Thanks to Mason Greenwood’s superb display, Roberto de Zerbi’s side took full advantage of Monaco’s recent struggles to move back into second in Ligue 1.

Though De Zerbi is still adjusting to Ligue 1, concerns are growing over Marseille’s disappointing home form. The recent loss to PSG leaves them with just one win from five league games at the Velodrome. Only Angers and bottom-placed Montpellier have fewer home points, a stark difference from Marseille’s impressive away record, where they’ve won five out of six.

For Auxerre, the story couldn’t be more different. They have an incredible record on home soil, but they have been struggling on the road. Christophe Pelissier’s men only managed to avoid defeat once in their adventures outside the Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps so far this season. Other than sharing the spoils in a two-all draw against Lyon, Auxerre returned empty handed from their trips.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Marseille have not been at their best in front of their home crowd this season, but Auxerre’s away record is even poorer. On top of that, the visitors will be without their first-choice centre back pairing Jubal and Sinaly Diomande. For this reason, we predict Marseille will win their second home match of the season, but the net should bulge on both ends of the pitch.

Genoa vs. Como – Genoa to Win @ 3.140

Two underperforming Serie A sides, Genoa and Como, both averaging fewer than one point per game, will square off at Stadio Luigi Ferraris this Thursday. Genoa celebrated a narrow win thanks to a late strike earlier this week, while Como’s struggles deepened with their fourth defeat in five games.

Promoted Parma hosted struggling Genoa on Monday night, with both teams still searching for their first win since August. Just when a goal-less draw seemed inevitable, Genoa’s Andrea Pinamonti stepped up in the 80th minute and gave his under pressure manager Alberto Gilardino some much needed respite.

Cesc Fabregas brought the spotlight on Como this season after the former Arsenal midfielder became the new head coach of I Lariani. He made a host of changes to the starting XI when his side went to Empolli on Monday, but the changes did not deliver as they suffered a 1-0 defeat.

Before travelling to Genoa, Como will be two steps ahead of their hosts at 15th place in the standings, even though both teams have nine points to their name. The Red and Blues are yet to win a match at Stadio Luigi Ferraris this season, but they will feel they can break the duck at Como’s expense.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Genoa may not be known for their glamorous style of play, but their gritty approach could earn them another three crucial points. Gilardino must have marked this fixture as a winnable one, and given the current form of both teams, along with the excellent odds offered by bookmaker Pinnacle for a Genoa victory, we’re backing Il Grifone to come out on top.

Los Angeles FC vs. Vancouver Whitecap – LAFC to Win First Half @ 2.04

Friday’s MLS Cup playoff action sees Los Angeles FC take on the Vancouver Whitecaps in a winner-takes-all third game at BMO Stadium, with a spot in the second round on the line. Vancouver kept their playoff hopes alive last weekend, securing a commanding 3-0 win over LA at BC Place to level the series at 1-1.

Los Angeles missed the chance to secure a third straight conference semi-finals appearance after costly defensive mistakes led to a disappointing loss on Sunday. Two own-goals doomed Steve Cherundolo’s side in game two, with this defeat marking their first opening-round postseason loss since 2020.

Nevertheless, LA have been solid at BMO Stadium recently, going unbeaten in their last four MLS matches, including a hard-fought 2-1 win against Vancouver in the first match of the series.

Vancouver delivered under pressure on Sunday, forcing a decisive game three in this opening-round series. After entering the playoffs on a four-match MLS losing streak, the Caps have turned their form around, winning two of their last three domestic games. Their 3-0 victory last weekend marked their first-ever opening-round playoff win, and on Friday, they have the chance to secure their first postseason away win since joining MLS.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 6th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Vanni Sartini’s team will be chasing history in Los Angeles, but they’ll face a tough challenge against a side that thrives in front of their home crowd. LAFC have been leading at halftime in three of their last five matches, including twice against the Whitecaps. As a result, we expect them to win the first half once again.

The Best Bets to Make This Week

Before saying our goodbyes, let’s have a look at our betting recommendations for this week’s sporting events once again:

  • Pedro Guevara vs. Jesse Rodriguez – under 8.5 @ 2.100
  • Karen Chukhadzhian vs. Jaron Ennis – under 6.5 @ 2.250
  • Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets – Nuggets +5.0 @ 2.110
  • Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens – Bengals +6.5 @ 1.892
  • New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers – Panthers to win @ 3.050
  • Brisbane Heat vs. Sydney Thunders – Thunders to win @ 2.030
  • Perth Scorchers vs. Melbourne Renegades – Perth to win @ 1.925
  • Marseille vs. Auxerre – Marseille to win and both teams to score @ 2.830
  • Genoa vs. Como – Genoa to win @ 3.140
  • Los Angeles FC vs. Vancouver Whitecap – LAFC to win first half @ 2.04

All of our bets this week offer similar returns, with no significant outliers. That said, we believe the Marseille vs. Auxerre bet, where we backed the home side to score and win, holds the best potential with a 2.830x payout.
