Best Boxing Predictions This Week

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will finally step into the ring this week. We will look at the best wager to place on the much-publicised fight. On top of that, we will highlight the women’s lightweight bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano on the undercard of the Paul vs. Tyson event. But that’s not all! We will also preview Oscar Duarte taking on Botirzhon Akhmedov in Saudi Arabia.

Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul – Under 5.5 @ 1.869

Mike Tyson, a 58-year-old former heavyweight champion, is set to face 27-year-old Jake Paul on November 15th in a generational clash. Tyson, who last fought professionally in 2005, will step into the ring for the first time in nearly two decades against a much younger opponent.

Tyson claimed the heavyweight championship twice over his illustrious career. By the time he last held the title in November 1996, Jake Paul hadn’t even entered the world. Tyson has stepped into the ring for a few exhibition matches over the years, but his last bout of any kind was a 2020 exhibition against another legend of the sport, Roy Jones Jr.

For years, Mike resisted the lure of a comeback. Rumours of a spectacle with Tyson Fury were mercifully dismissed, while the idea of facing old rivals like Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis was firmly shut down. Tyson, seeming more at peace than ever, appeared content to stay in retirement.

But money has its way. While Jake Paul’s boxing credentials are questionable at best, his entertainment value is undeniable. So, when the YouTuber came up with the idea to fight ‘Iron’ Mike, big money started flowing in. The opportunity was so enticing that even Tyson couldn’t escape the temptation and agreed to it.

Jake Paul has compiled a 10-1 boxing record, primarily against former UFC fighters and fellow YouTubers with limited boxing experience. However, his undefeated streak was broken when he finally faced a boxer with decent skills and experience.

Paul’s most recent fight was against Tommy Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Despite Tommy Fury’s relatively modest career, he had no problem outclassing the 27-year-old social media influencer.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Although Mike Tyson is approaching his 60s, he’s still expected to make this match-up competitive. Paul stands as the favourite, but we anticipate the bout wrapping up before the fifth round. With that in mind, we’ll go with bookmaker Pinnacle’s offer of 1.869 odds on the under 5.5 rounds market.

Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor – Serrano to Win @ 2.010

The wait is over as Katie Taylor, the Undisputed World Female Super Lightweight Champion from Ireland, takes on Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano in a highly anticipated rematch this Friday, November 15th.

The pair first clashed in April 2022, with Taylor securing a controversial split decision victory to retain her IBC, WBC, and WBO Lightweight Titles. In her most recent bout, she claimed the Undisputed Super Lightweight Titles, narrowly defeating England’s Chantelle Cameron by majority decision last November, just six months after losing to Cameron by the same margin.

Serrano’s most recent appearance in the ring was in July, where she stopped Stevie Morgan in the second round. This bout served as a replacement after her rematch with Taylor was postponed, following the delay of the main event on the card, Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson.

With a professional record of 23-1 and six knockouts, Taylor has accumulated 204 rounds of boxing since her debut in 2016. Her illustrious amateur career saw her win six gold medals at the AIBA World Boxing Championships (2006-2016) and a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

Throughout her career, Taylor has taken down some of the finest female boxers, including Amanda Serrano, Jessica McCaskill, Anahi Esther Sanchez, and Delfine Persoon. She has fought in the 132.5 to 139.5 lb range as a professional and captured the WBO World Female Super Lightweight Title in 2019 with a unanimous decision victory over Christina Linardatou.

Serrano has built a stellar record of 47-2-1 with 31 knockouts and holds the IBO and WBO Featherweight titles. Her first career loss came in April 2012 when she fell to Frida Walberg by unanimous decision in a bid for the WBC World Female Super Featherweight Title.

Serrano, who many felt should have won her 2022 fight with Katie Taylor—widely regarded as one of the year’s best—lost by split decision for the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO Lightweight Titles. Her only other draw was a 2009 four-round bout against Ela Nunez. Throughout her career, Serrano has competed in the 118 to 138.5 lb range and won titles in an impressive seven weight classes.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

This clash brings together two of the world’s top female pound-for-pound fighters. Serrano is likely to bring the fight to Taylor once more. However, Taylor’s strong counter-punching makes her comfortable under pressure.

Serrano’s natural aggression could work in her favour over the course of the fight, especially as Taylor lacks the power to keep her at bay for all 10 rounds. While Taylor may have the edge in overall boxing skill, if Serrano throws in high volume and maintains the pressure, she could do enough to avenge her loss.

Oscar Duarte vs. Batyr Akhmedov – Duarte to Win @ 1.826

Oscar Duarte makes his comeback on Saturday night in Saudi Arabia, facing Botirzhon Akhmedov, who stepped up as a late replacement for the injured Kenny Sims Jr. The welterweight bout is set for the undercard of the cruiserweight title fight between Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez and Chris Billam-Smith.

After amassing a 13-0-1 record, Duarte stepped up to face seasoned contender Rey Perez in 2018, securing a unanimous decision win in the biggest test of his career to that point. He then kept his momentum rolling by delivering an impressive stoppage victory against the formidable Roger Gutierrez, who held a 19-2-1 record at that time.

Following his defeat to Adrian Estrella for the vacant WBC Continental Americas lightweight title, Duarte regrouped and embarked on an impressive 11-fight winning streak, earning wins over fighters like Alex Martin and D’Angelo Keyes. His streak was halted in December 2023, however, when he was stopped by the highly regarded Ryan Garcia. In his latest outing, Duarte rebounded with a dominant ninth-round stoppage of Joseph Diaz in April.

Akhmedov has also transitioned smoothly from a successful amateur career to the professional ranks. The Russian had a winning start to his professional career by stopping Dmitry Lavrinenko.

The momentum from the Lavrinenko fight sent Akhmedov on a seven-fight winning streak. This earned him a shot at the WBA (Regular) super-lightweight title against Mario Barrios, though he lost via unanimous decision. After two more victories, Akhmedov secured another title chance but was defeated again, this time by Alberto Puello in a hard-fought decision for the vacant WBA super-lightweight title.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Akhmedov’s early aggression often fades as the fight progresses, which could be a significant disadvantage against a late-round puncher like La Migrana. Duarte’s superior footwork and defensive skills could allow him to weather the initial storm and exploit Akhmedov’s fatigue in the later rounds.

We, therefore, are predicting a win for Oscar Duarte and anticipating a 1.826x return on our investment.

Best UFC Predictions This Week

The fight fest will not be over at Madison Square Garden after the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson extravaganza. Only a day later, the iconic New York arena will host the UFC 309. Here are our three betting picks from the event.

Eryk Anders vs. Chris Weidman – Anders to Win @ 1.724

This weekend, middleweight veterans Chris Weidman and Eryk Anders collide at MSG. Weidman, a Long Island native, returns to the Octagon after a gruesome leg injury, eager to rebound from previous MSG losses. Anders, fresh off a victory over Jamie Pickett, aims to continue his momentum in the Big Apple.

Chris Weidman is approaching his MMA career with a cautious, fight-by-fight strategy. A win against Anders would significantly bolster his position in the middleweight division and potentially lead to high-profile match-ups. For Anders, a victory over a former champion like Weidman would be a substantial accomplishment and could elevate his status within the division.

The explosive Eryk Anders is riding high after a dominant victory over Jamie Pickett. His relentless aggression and knockout power make him a dangerous opponent for Weidman. Yet, the 37-year-old’s inconsistent career trajectory leaves uncertainty about his potential.

Weidman continues on his comeback trail with this fight against Anders. The former middleweight kingpin will look to build on his recent victory over Bruno Silva and prove he still belongs among the elite.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

This is shaping up to be a battle of contrasting styles is set to unfold. Weidman, a seasoned warrior with a wealth of experience and a lethal blend of wrestling and striking, will face off against Anders, a raw, explosive force with a penchant for finishing fights with devastating power.

Weidman’s tactical approach and ability to control the pace of the fight could be his key to victory. If he can successfully ground Anders and impose his grappling game, he can neutralise the younger fighter’s power advantage and wear him down. However, Anders is a dangerous striker who thrives on chaos. If he can keep the fight standing and land his powerful punches, he could end the fight with a single blow.

We believe Anders’ raw power and aggressive style will overwhelm Weidman, who is still recovering from a significant injury and is in his 40s. While the odds may be close, we’re confident in Anders’ ability to secure a victory.

Marcus McGhee vs. Jonathan Martinez – Martinez to Win @ 2.180

Two of the bantamweight division’s brightest prospects, Jonathan Martinez and Marcus McGhee, collide in the final UFC 309 preliminary bout. After a six-fight winning streak, Martinez suffered a setback against Jose Aldo at UFC 301. Now, he’s looking to get back on track with a win against Martinez.

McGhee, on the other hand, has made a strong impression in the UFC, securing three consecutive stoppage victories, including a recent second-round TKO over Gaston Bolanos.

The 34-year-old has burst onto the UFC scene with a perfect 3-0 record, each victory punctuated by a Performance of the Night bonus. While his early success is promising, he’ll need to face tougher opponents to truly test his skills and Martinez could be the litmus test of his abilities.

McGhee’s opponents thus far have a combined UFC record of 3-9, suggesting that he has yet to face truly elite competition. His upcoming fight against the experienced Jonathan Martinez will be a significant step up in difficulty.

Martinez, nicknamed ‘The Dragon’, is a technical striker with a keen eye for precision and power. His ability to feint and move his head can leave opponents guessing and set them up for devastating strikes.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

While Martinez’s striking is elite, his grappling remains a weakness. If McGhee can exploit this deficiency and secure a takedown, he could potentially capitalise on the opportunity.

On the flip side, McGhee’s tendency to rush in recklessly could play into Martinez’s hands. The more patient and technically sound Martinez could exploit McGhee’s aggression by countering his attacks with precise strikes.

McGhee, despite his impressive early UFC performances, is still relatively new to the scene. The Detroit man’s late start to his professional career and limited experience against top-tier opponents could be a disadvantage against the more experienced Martinez.

Even though he is four years younger, Martinez enters the fight with more Octagon experience. We think he has the right toolset to get the better of McGhee, so we will back him as the underdog here.

Ramiz Brahimaj vs. Mickey Gall – Gall to Win @ 1.800

A New York vs. New Jersey rivalry will heat up the UFC 309 Octagon as Mickey Gall and Ramiz Brahimaj collide in a welterweight showdown on Saturday night. Gall, a former prospect with a promising start to his UFC career, is now on a three-fight skid.

He’ll need to dig deep and find a way to overcome Brahimaj, who is also looking to rebound from a recent loss. This match-up is crucial for both fighters as they seek to re-establish themselves in the welterweight division.

Gall made a memorable UFC debut in 2016 when he faced CM Punk in a high-profile crossover fight. Before that, he had quickly risen through the ranks of the regional scene, defeating Mike Jackson to earn the opportunity to fight Punk.

However, he has struggled to maintain his momentum, winning only one of his last five fights. His recent performances suggest that he may be struggling to compete at the highest level of the UFC.

Gall, despite his recent struggles, is seen as the favourite against Brahimaj, who is still recovering from a career-threatening neck injury. While Brahimaj’s potential is undeniable, his long layoff and the difficulty of his return fight could impact his performance. Gall, on the other hand, has the experience and skill to capitalise on Brahimaj’s vulnerabilities.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Gall’s strong grappling skills could be the difference-maker in this fight. He was somewhat unlucky not to win against Bassil Hafez in his previous fight, but if he can bring the same energy inside the cage for this fight, we are confident that he can win against Brahimaj who we expect will suffer because of his lack of recent fight experience.

Best American Football Predictions This Week

The NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders, clash at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday Night Football. Let’s see where the best betting value lies in this crunch NFL battle.

Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles – Under 48 Points @ 2.020

The Philadelphia Eagles are as expected leading the NFC East, but the Washington Commanders have emerged as a surprising contender. With rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and new head coach Dan Quinn at the helm, the Commanders have seen a remarkable turnaround after years of under-performance.

Fueled by an offence averaging 29 points per game, Washington appears set to break its playoff drought and make their first postseason appearance in nine years.

Philadelphia’s offence has found its groove, led by newcomer but seasoned running back Saquon Barkley. In his first season as an Eagle, Barkley’s standout performances have catapulted him into the NFL Offensive Player of the Year race.

Yet Barkley is just one part of a dynamic offensive lineup featuring wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, along with tight end Dallas Goedert, giving quarterback Jalen Hurts a wealth of options on every play.

After a slower start, the offence has hit top form, averaging 31.75 points per game in their last four outings. On the defensive side, Philadelphia has also been stepping up, allowing a mere 12.25 points per game over the same stretch—setting them apart from Washington as a well-rounded contender.

It can be argued, however, that Philadelphia’s status as a powerhouse can be questioned, considering the level of opposition they’ve faced lately. Their recent victories came against Dallas, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and the Giants, teams with a combined record of just 13-35.

Washington, however, is coming off an intense loss to the Steelers, who had two weeks to dissect rookie QB Jayden Daniels and head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s offence. Unlike Pittsburgh, the Eagles have only a few days to devise their game plan against the Commanders.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Washington’s offence is one of the most dynamic and fast-paced in the league, but the Eagles are starting to lock in defensively under Vic Fangio’s system. His ability to disguise coverages could be a real challenge for rookie quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels.

As week 11 approaches, Philadelphia sits at 6th in EPA allowed per play and ranks first in opponent success rate per snap. The Eagles are also finding ways to generate pressure without sending extra rushers. As a result, their linebackers can cover passing lanes while spying on Daniels’ movement.

Given the defensive strengths of both teams and their recent form, we predict a lower-scoring game. We’re confident that the total score will stay under 48 points. Pinnacle’s odds of 2.020 for this outcome offer excellent value.

Best Football Predictions This Week

Domestic football takes a break this week, so we will get to enjoy some international football action this week. We’ll be focusing on three UEFA Nations League matches and sharing our betting picks.

Greece vs. England – Both Teams to Score and England to Win @ 4.840

England will be seeking revenge when they make the trip to the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis in Athens to take on Greece in their second-to-last League B Group 2 match in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.

The Three Lions were stunned by a 2-1 loss to the Blues and Whites at Wembley last month, with Vangelis Pavlidis scoring both goals for the away side, including an injury time strike that silenced the home crowd.

England’s upcoming match against Greece on Thursday will be their first since Thomas Tuchel took charge of the back-to-back Euro runner-ups. Tuchel, the third foreign manager in England’s football history, succeeded Gareth Southgate after being unveiled on October 16 and has agreed to an 18-month contract.

However, the ex-Chelsea boss will not stand in the English dugouts until January. For now, Lee Carsley will stay on as interim manager for England’s remaining Nations League fixtures against Greece and the Republic of Ireland in November.

Sitting fourth in the FIFA world rankings, England are currently second in their Nations League group, three points adrift of leaders Greece. A victory by a margin of two or more goals on Thursday will allow Harry Kane and company to leapfrog Greece and claim the top spot in the group with one game remaining.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

England’s depth and quality, even without several key players, should be enough to overcome Greece. With Harry Kane spearheading the attack, the Three Lions should be able to secure a crucial win. Angelos Anastasiadis’ men, however, should put up a solid fight and deny the away side a clean-sheet.

Belgium vs. Italy – Draw @ 3.280

Italy, who are at the cusp of UEFA Nations League quarter-finals qualification, will travel to Belgium for a crucial Group A2 match. Belgium, on the other hand, must win to keep their hopes of advancing to the next round alive. The Azzurri only need to hold Belgium to a draw at Stade Roi Baudouin, while the Belgians are desperate for a win, having accumulated only four points thus far.

In third place, trailing France by five points and Italy by six, the Red Devils seem destined for a relegation playoff, which will ultimately decide whether they can maintain their League A status.

To reach the knockout stage for the second time, Belgium must finish in the top two. They were beaten by Italy in the 2019 third-place playoff, so Thursday’s task is simple: win, and they stay in contention. A victory would set up a crucial final game on Sunday against Israel, who are at the bottom of the group in Hungary.

After a poor defence of their title at the Euros, Italy’s new-look squad has revitalised their campaign in Group 2, amassing 10 points from 12 available and coming within touching distance of securing their progress to the UEFA Nations League quarter-finals.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Belgium boss Dominic Tedesco will be desperate for a win against Italy, but he won’t be thrilled to know that his team is winl-ess against the four-time World Champions since 1972. However, they should be able to grind out a draw once again.

Slovenia vs. Norway – Draw @ 3.270

An exciting finish to League B Group 3 lies ahead, as Slovenia and Norway are locked in a three-way tie at the top ahead of Thursday’s meeting in Ljubljana. While promotion remains undecided until the last matchday, a win for either team would strengthen their bid to reach the UEFA Nations League’s prestigious top tier.

After Norway and Slovenia pulled ahead of Austria and Kazakhstan in September, with Slovenia’s star forward Benjamin Sesko netting four goals in four days, Austria fought back with two wins last month, rekindling their hopes of claiming top spot.

Now, all three teams sit on seven points with two Group 3 games remaining, and Slovenia reached that total thanks to a 1-0 away victory over Kazakhstan in October.

Finishing in first place guarantees automatic promotion to League A for the next cycle, while second place will enter a promotion playoff. With everything still to play for, the outcome remains uncertain as they approach this week’s fixtures.

※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 13th, 12:00 AM (GMT)

Although Norway comfortably defeated Slovenia in their last encounter, a heavy loss to Austria and a lengthy list of injuries are likely to have a significant impact. As a result, we expect the spoils to be shared in Ljubljana, leaving both teams tied on eight points heading into Sunday’s final round.
