PSG find themselves in a tough spot in the Champions League as the team needs to turn around a 1-0 deficit away to Bayern Munich, but with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe in top form, they are well-equipped to put up a big fight.
Bookmaker William Hill is offering enhanced odds at 3.75 for both teams to score in the first half on Wednesday.

Mbappe has just become PSG’s all-time top goalscorer with his 201st tally for the club and Messi is a week removed from being voted the best male player at the FIFA Football Awards 2022. These two can change a game in an instant and Bayern can’t be too comfortable holding only a one-goal advantage.
PSG’s chances for a comeback would be even better if Neymar would be available for selection, but the team announced on Monday that the season is over for the Brazilian star with an ankle injury and it all comes down to Mbappe and Messi finding a way past the Bayern defense.
The German giants tend to be a bit shaky at the back and PSG will definitely be ready to advantage of any mistakes that might occur.
Bayern hasn’t done too well results-wise either as of late, winning only half of their 10 outings in 2023. They have yet to shake off competition in the Bundesliga and having to focus fully on multiple competitions at this time of the season is far from an ideal situation for the club. It hasn’t happened too often either during Bayern’s 10-year domination of German football.
Julian Nagelsmann’s men will hope to continue their incredible European success on home turf Wednesday. The team has suffered only two Champions League defeats at Allianz Arena since the start of the 2018-19 season. There’s been only one loss in the past 16 outings and that came against PSG back in April 2021 when Mbappe scored a brace.
These two have incredibly played out 12 meetings without a single draw. Both teams have six victories in the head-to-head match-up, although Bayern have clearly dominated the proceedings in recent seasons. They have won four of the last five clashes, scoring eight goals and conceding in only two matches.
A fully-focused defensive performance should be the key to victory again for Bayern on Wednesday. They definitely have the quality to match PSG’s scoring but a tight defensive effort would definitely make things a lot easier for them.
