Barcelona

Barcelona are of course the reigning champions and it’s not surprising to see them being tipped to retain their title. The Spanish giants are favourites to win the Champions League for the second season in a row and the impressive start they’ve gone on to record in La Liga is enough evidence to back up this suggestion. Luis Enrique’s men have collected three wins from three in the league and there are no reasons to suggest that the Catalans will fall out of the race too early.

Bayern Munich Thomas Muller

Bayern Munich

Paddy Power LogoGerman giants Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs on the planet and a position on this list was all but guaranteed for Pep Guardiola’s men. Their dominance has been proven after they managed to grab 12 points from their first four games. Bayern however, will be keen to go a step further than last time when they were sent packing by Barcelona at the Semi-Final stage.

Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid

10 time European Cup winners Real Madrid are one of the hot favourites to lift the title that they bagged just a couple of season ago. Cristiano Ronaldo and his boys will head into the contest under the stewardship of newly appointed boss, Rafa Benitez. The Spanish tactician has an outstanding record in Europe and it would not be surprising if he led his boyhood club to an 11th European Cup triumph.

Chelsea Football Team

Chelsea

10Bet LogoJose Mourinho’s legions have had to endure a torrid start to the new Barclays Premier League season. The Blues have managed to pick up just 4 points from a total of 5 games which has left them hovering just above the relegation zone. Their insane pedigree however combined with the talent that they have both on and off the pitch still marks them out as one of the favourites to win the Champions League.

Manchester City Football Team

Manchester City

Manchester City head into this edition of the Champions League as England’s most feared club. Pellegrini’s boys are the only team in the Premier League that can still boast a 100% record and it’s really hard to see them not going the distance in Europe despite the tough group that they find themselves in. Europe has been a disappointment for City ever since they made it big, but they look better placed than ever before to set the record books straight.

Paris Saint-Germain Football Team

Paris Saint-Germain

Mega rich PSG have grown in leaps and bounds ever since they were bought by their wealthy benefactors. The French club have dominated over Ligue 1 while also managing to participate in every season of the UEFA Champions League since 2012. 13 points from the 15 available means that Laurent Blanc’s side top the French league and with the wealth of talent that they have to boast, this news comes as no surprise.

Paddy Power has Paris Saint-Germain to win the Champions League this season at: 16/1

Manchester United Football Team

Manchester United

Barclays Premier League giants Manchester United are back in the Champions League after one year out. Louis Van Gaal has not been able to scale the heights of the United of old, but he has most certainly been able to bring in some stability. The Red Devils are another team who find themselves on this list thanks to their pedigree but at the same time it is very hard to imagine them lifting the Champions League trophy once all is said and done against some of the other teams in the competition this year.

Last season: Failed to qualify

10Bet has Manchester United to win the Champions League this season at: 16/1
Paddy Power has Manchester United to win the Champions League this season at: 18/1

Atletico Madrid Football Team

Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid is one club that has made massive progress in recent seasons. The Spanish club were minutes away from winning the Champions League in 2014, but a late Real resurgence beat them to the punch. Diego Simeone and his boys however, head into the tournament with a lot of confidence keeping in mind their performances of the last two seasons. Atletico has had a modest start to the new La Liga season after picking up 6 points from 3 games. A strong showing however, is the least that we can expect from them in the UEFA Champions League.
