Rainbow Six Siege NAL 2022 Stage 2: Can Astralis Finally Find Their Footing and Will Oxygen Esports Challenge for the Title?

With Rainbow Six Siege North American League 2022 Stage 2 upon us, 10 teams face off in a thrilling 12 round main event. Who will come out on top and who has what it takes to dominate the group? Online sportsbook Pinnacle has the latest odds.

Oxygen Esports as it stands are looking quite strong having beaten previous champions Astralis 7-5 in June. With stars such as LaXInG and Nuers in their best form since 2021, Oxygen Esports currently looks to be the team to beat in 2022.

On the other hand, reigning champions Astralis can’t seem to make ends meet with recent losses to Parabellum Esports and TSM FTX being some of their worst results since 2020. Astralis stars Iconic and Dpfire are looking particularly out of form with Iconic scoring a rating of only 0.59 and Dpfire following suit with a rating of 0.62.

Unfortunately, problems don’t end there for Astralis and their team. Their arguably best player to date, Iconic, scored a meager 25% head-shot rate even though he used his main operators, Finka and Ela, in a match against Oxygen Esports. If we look at the stats more closely, we will notice that the entirety of the team, especially Iconic, failed to score a K/D ratio higher than 1.30. A dreadful statistic that will only see them dethroned at the end of Stage 2.

Pinnacle LogoAstralis’ next match-up is against Spacestation Gaming on July 13th. Bookie Pinnacle sees Astralis as the favourites in this match with the odds stacked at 1.625 in their favour and the odds for Spacestation Gaming at 2.200.

Another match-up of high stakes takes place on July 12th between XSET and Oxygen Esports. Having won their previous 5 matches, Oxygen Esports aims to continue their spell of victories and further increase their lead in the championship. A victory here could prove vital for their title hopes as XSET is no easy opponent.

XSET star SpiriTz scored particularly well in his last few matches averaging a result of 2.03 and a K/D ratio of 2.5 with operators Iana and Jaeger. Oxygen Esports would do well to take note of these stats and use the ban phase of the match to their advantage. Eliminating Iana and Jaeger would potentially contain SpiriTz and limit him to other operators.

Pinnacle has the odds on Oxygen Esports at 1.625 and XSET on 2.200. Full odds can be seen below!
