Apex Legends Global Series: Split 2 Playoffs 2023

Headlining eSports action this weekend, the Apex Legends Global Series will see its Split 2 Playoffs unfold over the next four days. With 40 of the best teams in the world going head to head over three breakneck phases, Apex fans will be treated to some of the best entertainment the sport can offer this weekend.

Heading into this tournament, TSM is the team to beat having won the Split 1 Playoffs in February 2023. However, XSET will fancy their chances of grabbing the title as well, considering the nature in which they blasted through the ALGS: 2023 Split 2 Pro League – North America. With these two sides vying for first place, DarkZero Esports will be hard-pressed to continue the mantle of Reignite, the defending champions whose roster they have taken over.

Apex Legends Global Series: Split 2 Playoffs 2023

In terms of the best bets to make this week, it feels like a choice between the top three betting favourites—XSET, TSM and DarkZero Esports. The challenge with TSM is that although they’ve won the only S-Tier tournament of the year, they are yet to win another event since. With two sixth place finishes, plus a fourth and runner up result too, TSM has been somewhat underwhelming since their win in the Split 1 Playoffs.

That leaves XSET and DarkZero. XSET come into this tournament off a poor result in the SteelSeries Invitational where they finished eighth; before this, however, they won back to back events. DarkZero, on the other hand, has been a little all over the show—two wins for the season but also two 13th placed finishes and a raft of result in between. While XSET look like the most likely winner at 7.50, the best bet is to back them for a top three finish instead.
