2023 Barbasol Championship | PGA Tour Heats Up Ahead of Open Championship

2023 Barbasol Championship

Just 30 minutes outside of Lexington, Kentucky, Champions at Keene Trace in Nicholasville will host the Barbasol Championship as a tune up for the upcoming Open Championship. Despite many of the top players choosing the Genesis Open on the same weekend, we will still see over 150 golfers featuring from both the PGA and DP World tours this Thursday through Sunday.

With a US$3.8 million purse ($684,000 to the winner), the Barbasol winner also receives placement in the Open Championship, the 2024 PGA Championship, a two-year PGA tour exemption, and 300 FedEx Cup Points. This year’s field will consist of the three previous event champions, last year’s runner-up, and three former Major Champions as well. There will be plenty of competition and some excellent opportunities for betting over the coming days.

2023 Barbasol Championship

Looking at these odds, there’s a strong case for betting Taylor Pendrith to take home the Championship this year. The Canadian made a top 15 finish to start July in Detroit, along with two top 15 finishes in each of the last two years at the Barbasol. If Taylor can keep his putting as good as the rest of his game, he will put himself in great spots over and over and be in contention on Sunday.

Along with Pendrith, as well as former Major Champion Lucas Glover, Vincent Norrman is also a strong bet this year. Back the Swede to make a deep run and place in the top five or lump Norrman together with Pendrith and Glover for a triple top 20 finish with a 8.00 pay out at William Hill.
