Dota Dreamleague is Back with Season 19! Which Dota Top Dog Will Secure the Win?

Dreamleague is back for season 19 with sixteen of the best dota 2 teams in the world competing for the coveted million dollar prize pool and a chance to take part in the upcoming Riyadh Masters.

Pinnacle LogoAgainst some of the best from across six different regions, reigning TI champion Tundra is still one of the favorites to win the entire event at 4.68 with online bookmaker Pinnacle. However, it is Team Liquid that has been given the lowest odds to win the event at 3.10 given their strong showing since the arrival of their new mid player Nisha.

Three of the lowest odds are from Western Europe with Gaimin Gladiators also looking solid having won the previous major and being on a roll ever since. The three are also at the top of their region, which is no small feat considering the mix of talented teams competing in WEU’s division 1.

Team Liquid on the other hand, fell 3-0 to Gaimin Gladiators in the Lima Major after looking hot and heavy, only losing two games up until the upper bracket finals. However, a health emergency unexpectedly took place for Boxi, the team’s position 4 who has become one of their bright spots, and forced their analyst to step in and play. The last minute change-up caused a lot of disarray to the Team Liquid chemistry as they went 0-5 after starting their run at 18-2.

However, when Boxi got reinstated back into the roster for Tour 2, the team looked like they didn’t skip a beat in only dropping one series and securing first and a ticket to the Berlin major.

On the other hand, Tundra has seemingly fallen off from their very dominant form during their International run. While they are still a very potent team capable of beating anyone, they do not seem to be as scary and unstoppable as before. The nerfs received such as Wraith Pact that they utilized to perfection during TI certainly did not help their case either.

Meanwhile, the Chinese scene will be represented by PSG.LGD and Team Aster. Both teams are capable of making it all the way as well. Despite the poor Major performances, these two teams cannot be taken for granted. PSG.LGD has seemingly found their groove after losing three of their superstar players. Meanwhile, Xwy has been doing a great job filling in for the loss of Ori, who manned the mid lane for Team Aster in their strong TI run.

Who will win Dreamleague season 19? Will it be the expected winners? Or will a dark horse swoop in and steal all the glory?
