JD Gaming Raring to Go as Favorites for LPL Spring

It seems like JD gaming has yet to skip a beat after being just a game away from entering The World’s 2022 final stage, the team is cleared as favorites in LPL Spring.

bet365Marked as the most likely to come out on top of the Chinese professional league, JD gaming has been given odds of 2.75 by bet365. However, Edward Gaming is right on their tail at 4.00 with a clear shot to upset the highly favored squad.

JD Gaming will be trying to defend their crown as winners of last year’s Spring derby. This will be the first of three splits in China including the regional finals. However, the team will be sporting a new look as they brought in knight from Top Esports where he had stayed for a majority of his career. The team also employed the services of South Korean Bot player Ruler. Known for using champions such as Ashe and Ezreal, the former Gen.G stud will be helping JD Gaming win LPL spring two years in a row.

Ruler is a big signing for the team as he led his teams to high tournament placings throughout his career, securing at least the quarterfinals in his last three showings at the World Championships. His resume is of course headlined by winning the 2017 World Championships where he was crowned MVP as well as finishing second the year prior. Recently, he was also named as the LCK Regular Season MVP during his Summer run with Gen.G esports where they finished first over the legendary T1 team.

Together with midlaner 369, the ceiling is really high for this reinforced JD Gaming team as they look to breeze through LPL Spring.

Edward Gaming revamped their entire roster only leaving jungler Jiejie as well as long time staple Meiko at support from the previous iteration. Despite the newly formed roster, the team is considered the most likely to upset what looks to be an easy path for JD Gaming. They have brought in two new bloods, Monki and Leave, from their academy team with tremendous potential. The 2021 Worlds winner will surely not go down without a fight.

With the Chinese professional LOL League starting after a very long hiatus, a lot of teams will want to come out swinging. The question is, will it be enough to rattle JD Gaming’s quest to defend their title? Or are they just way too good for everyone?
