How often do two superstars step into the ring together in boxing? More often than not, they avoid each other. Just look at Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk—side-stepping a fight constantly. Or even Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao before them, only fighting in the twilight of their careers.
This Saturday night boxing fans will be treated to the rarest of delicacies: Two boxing superstars putting it all on the line in their prime to see who’s the best. Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia will fight in the catchweight division and while there’s no title on the line, everyone knows this is one of the biggest fights the division has seen in years.
We break down the best bets to make on this clash with all the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill.

While this really could be anyone’s fight, the bookies are leaning towards Gervonta Davis pre-fight. Bookmaker William Hill has Davis a 1.40 moderate favourite to win this fight outright compared to Ryan Garcia’s 2.90. By far the most likely outcome looking at the odds is a Davis knockout, which pays 1.67 and is well ahead of Garcia winning by knockout at 4.33. It’s unlikely this one goes long with odds of 6.00 and 8.50 for either Garcia or Davis to win this one on points.

There’s a lot to look at in this match-up. Garcia has an edge in size with a five inch reach advantage over Davis. He’s also the faster fighter and has been known to overwhelm with his flurries of attack. Davis, however, is known as the Mike Tyson of the catchweight division and for good reason. This is a man who has won 26 of his 28 fights by way of knockout and has some of the most devastating power for a boxer his size.
While Garcia should start fast and has a lot of tools to give Davis a hard time, there’s one undeniable fact and that is giving Davis as many as 36 minutes in the ring with Garcia. Considering his track record, it’s very difficult to see Davis not landing a knockout punch at some stage. Regardless of momentum, Davis can win from anywhere—and that’s what we say he’ll do on Saturday night.
For extra returns, we say it’ll happen late. Bet on this fight to be over 7.5 rounds as Davis bides his time and allows Garcia to win the first half of the bout before pouncing and ending this in the later rounds.
