Unfortunately for Rupprecht, she’s an enormous underdog. Bookmaker William Hill is paying 1.07 for a Seniesa Estrada win and 8.00 for Tina Rupprecht to upset the WBA Champion. The method of victory odds don’t look any kinder to the German either with Estrada paying 1.33 to win by decision and 3.75 to win by knockout—both vastly stronger odds than Rupprecht’s outcomes, which pay 13.00 for a decision and 19.00 for a knockout.

It’s very difficult to see this match ending any way except for an Estrada win. The American is 23-0-0 and is used to fighting under the big lights. She’s got a healthy reach and is a skillful, ambitious boxer. While Rupprecht is also undefeated, with a record of 12-0-1, she’s far less experienced than Estrada. She also concedes home advantage and will be at a reach disadvantage as well.
Bottom line is that for Tina Rupprecht to win this one, she’ll more than likely need to knock Seniesa Estrada out. Trouble is, in her 13 professional fights, Rupprecht has only managed to successfully execute three knockouts. The chances of her finishing off a more skillful, bigger fighter with the calibre of Estrada are very slim.
The question then becomes how Estrada will win. We say it’s worth backing the American to finish this fight early. First, this is a far more lucrative bet than a points victory, which is barely worth the admin of placing a wager. Second, Estrada is at the stage where she’s really looking to forge a legacy. If she wants to continue on and become the undisputed strawweight champion, a statement knockout here would be just the thing to pique the interest of the necessary stakeholders.
