The NBA season has concluded seeing the Toronto Raptors capture their first championship in franchise history. With the 2019 season coming to an end, it’s time to look at the upcoming season.
The Los Angeles Lakers made some noise acquiring the likes of Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. The combination of LeBron James and Davis gives the Lakers the best odds to win the NBA championship next season.

As for the defending NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors are looking to sign playoff MVP Kawhi Leonard. Still, even though the Raps won it all this season, they are down the line when it comes to the NBA championship odds.
The defending Western Conference champs aren’t receiving much love either. Despite taking the Raptors to six games, the road to an NBA championship may not go through Golden State in 2020. With Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant’s future uncertain, it makes sense that the dynasty in Golden State may have concluded.
Other top teams from this past season have some decent odds with several being the Milwaukee Bucks, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers are listed ahead of the Raptors, while the Bucks and Rockets are ahead of the Warriors.
Free agency could easily shake up the entire board. Trades and the upcoming draft could also be a factor in how the upcoming season plays out. If Kawhi re-signs with the Raptors, surely they will get better odds. But if he signs with LA then the Lakers will easily be the favorites for the rest of the season.
