Cameron Smith to Win
Smith’s recent form is particularly noteworthy. Hisrunner-up finish at LIV Hong Kong just a few weeks ago showcased his proficiency on courses that suit his playing style. He also strolled into a top six finish at The Masters just a fortnight ago. This week’s event could be another golden opportunity for Smith to capitalise on his current form.
He thrives playing in front of a home crowd, evidenced by his three Australian PGA Championship wins. The shorter course allows Smith to play a more cautious game off the tee, which masks his biggest weakness. This tournament could well become a putting showdown, which would play right into Smith’s strengths as well.
Talor Gooch to Finish Top Five
Aussie players will undoubtedly be the crowd favourites at LIV Golf Adelaide this week, but American Talor Gooch could be the dark horse no one is watching. Gooch has a phenomenal record at this event, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t shine under the Adelaide sun once again.
Gooch returns to the scene of his maiden LIV Golf triumph, and what a triumph it was! Back-to-back 10-under-par 62s in the opening rounds propelled him to the title and kickstarted a stellar season. While victories haven’t been as frequent in 2024, Gooch remains a constant threat, consistently racking up points. In fact, he’s one of only three players to have scored in all five events so far, currently sitting pretty in tenth place on the individual leaderboard.
Our LIV Golf Adelaide prediction is the 32-year-old will make a top five finish this time around.

Despite his recent underperformance, Jon Rahm remains the frontrunner in the LIV Golf Adelaide odds. He comes at 7.40, while Joaquin Niemann is at 10.00. Local boy Cameron Smith, and our pick as the would-be-champion, is at 11.00. Current champion Talor Gooch is at 15.00.
