If the Golden Globes is any indication as to who will win Best Actor, Joaquin Phoenix should have another award to place on his mantle.

Looking at the odds from online bookie 10Bet, it seems as if Best Actor is Phoenix’s to lose. His talent was displayed heavily in Joker as it was one of the most talked-about films in 2019.

Joker received only a 68% on the Tomatometer but received 88% from the audience score. Those stats are interesting as Once Upon a Time In Hollywood received 85% on the Tomatometer. Whether you believe one film is better than the other, Phoenix gave a mesmerizing performance in the R rated film.

It will be interesting to see if any of the longshots’ odds move before the awards ceremony. Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Pryce also showcased remarkable acting but critics are saying not to the level fo Phoenix, the projected winner.

Adam Driver is the closest to capturing Phoenix, as he is listed at +800, even then, it’s going to be a huge mountain to climb for Driver (or anyone) to take Best Actor away from Phoenix.
