It’s a race to the bottom between the Ottawa Senators and Los Angeles Kings. Two teams that will miss the playoffs by a wide margin are hoping to secure the next best thing: a first overall draft pick.
Even though the Kings are one of the worst teams in the league, they are currently on a tremendous winning streak. LA have won 6 in a row, which is currently the longest win streak in the NHL.

Starting goalies have not been announced, but it’s expected that Craig Anderson will start for Ottawa and Cal Petersen will be in the blue paint for the Kings.
Andeson is the expected starter considering the Sens are playing on back-to-back nights. The former starter of Ottawa, Anderson is 11-16-2 with a 3.26GAA and .901 SV%.
In a change of events, Cal Petersen is the expected start for LA. Petersen is 4-3 this season with a 2.73 GAA and .922 SV%. Both goalies are in search of their first shutout of the season.
LA’s six-game winning streak is their longest of the season. During this streak, the Kings have picked up wins against the Penguins, Knights, Maple Leafs and Avalanche.
