It’s been an interesting year in men’s tennis. This particular tournament sees Novak Djokovic head into the Rolex Paris Masters as the sixth seed and world No. 7 yet overwhelming favourite to win at 2.62.
The next closest competition to Djokovic is Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz. Medvedev has had a tough 12 months since winning the US Open last year with injury and competition bans impacting his ability to compete fully. Nevertheless, he has had several stints at world No. 1 and will be a stiff competitor in this tournament.
Alcaraz, on the other hand, has had a supreme year in winning five titles including his maiden Grand Slam and claiming the world No. 1 spot at just 19 years of age. Since winning the US Open 2022 however, he has had a slight lump in form with two early exits and a recent poor performance that saw the teenager lose a one-sided semifinal against Felix Auger-Aliassime in Basel.
Both men are in the top half of the Rolex Paris Masters draw and will be looking to come out on top for a potential final against Djokovic. With odds of 2.62 to win this week, Djokovic is the safe bet in Paris.
Speaking of Auger-Aliassime, the 21-year-old Canadian comes into this week in blistering form. At the time of publishing, he has won 12 matches in a row including two titles and could make that 13 matches and three titles by defeating NextGen star Holger Rune in the Basel final tonight.
With long odds of 20.11 to win the Rolex Paris Masters this week, betting on Auger-Aliassime is an excellent idea. He’s been unstoppable and recently steamrolled the world No. 1 and has the additional fuel of playing for a spot in the Nitto ATP Finals.
