ALGS: 2023 Championship | Strong North American Contingent Led by DarkZero

ALGS: 2023 Championship

Here we are with the pinnacle of the 2023 Apex Legend’s season. With the eSport’s five main leagues sending their best teams to Birmingham, England for the mother of all LAN parties, there’s a lot to look at heading into the ALGS: 2023 Championship starting this week. With $2,000,000 on the line, and a good deal of bragging rights for the winners, the next five days will be a whirlwind of ALGS action.

bet365To begin the ALGS: 2023 Championship, 40 teams will compete in four groups, with three stages narrowing these 40 down to one champion. Can DarkZero Esports defend the title they won here this time last year? Or will their biggest rivals this season, TSM, upset them on the biggest stage it matters most? We look at the latest odds from bookmaker bet365 and outline the best bets to make on ALGS this week.

Current Odds Date & Time: September 4th, 8:00 P.M. (GMT)

Looking at the outright betting odds from bet365, there’s a clear favourite heading into the ALGS: 2023 Championship. TSM leads the pack at 4.00, well ahead of their next closest rivals, NRG on 7.00. From here, the favourites are quite congested, with DarkZero Esports on 7.50, followed by a four-way tie for fourth favourite between XSET, Alliance, Moist Esports and Acend.

Top three finish odds are similar, with the exception of DarkZero’s chances increasing and NRG slipping back a place. bet365 also appears to have temporarily made an error with their odds on Aurora Gaming—but not one we can benefit from, as the team should be paying more like 11.00, than 1.10.

In terms of the best bets to make on ALGS this week, we have three excellent wagers to recommend. First, and our most conservative bet, is to wager on the winning region to be North America. This is essentially a punt that covers the top four favourites, with TSM, NRG, DarkZero and XSET all coming from North America. At 1.61 it’s not the most lucrative but is a solid foundation for your Apex Legends betting.

ALGS: 2023 Championship

For higher returns, we say that NRG will make a top three finish at 4.33 and DarkZero will defend their title for a return of 7.50. NRG has been a consistent presence at the business end of ALGS tournaments this season, placing in the top three 50% of the time in 2023 across all events played, including both of the S-tier events this year.

DarkZero, on the other hand, is more mercurial but has a knack for winning on the biggest stage. They pulled it off this time last year and are also winners of the most recent big title, the ALGS: 2023 Split 2 Playoffs. Back them to go all the way this weekend for a healthy payout.
