The former Evil Geniuses core found themselves a new home for the season in Shopify Rebellion as well as a new offlaner to compliment their gameplay.
The odds are in the favor of Shopify Rebellion as Pinnacle has priced them at 1.79 to win 300 DPC Points and a slot at the Majors. Right behind them is TSM, which showed promising results last season but underwent significant changes. They are listed at 4.52, far from Rebellion but even further away from the rest of the pack behind them.

Shopify Rebellion signed the former Evil Geniuses squad who have dominated the region for the longest time. The North American staple has decided to part ways with their roster to venture in South America. After the departure of CIS carry turned offlaner Nightfall from the five-stack, the team turned to the services of TSM offlaner Saberlight, who was one of the most impactful players last season.
The five now consists of Arteezy, Abed, Saberlight, Cr1t and Fly. With big names attached to them, Rebellion will certainly be a team to watch in the DPC season. The addition of Saberlight coming out of TSM’s roster is just one of the three changes they have made in preparation for the upcoming season. TSM only retained Timado and Bryle, their core players from the Stockholm Major runner-up roster. They have employed the services of pos 5 Whitemon, the t1 standout all the way from Southeast Asia. They will round out their roster with kasane to replace Saberlight as well as Ari to replace Moonmeander, who will stay with the organization but will be on the sidelines as the team’s coach.
A very exciting addition to the region is B8. The team is owned by Dota 2’s living legend Dendi, who hails all the way from Ukraine. The team will be playing under the North American region after struggling in the Division 2 of Eastern Europe. The roster looks promising on paper with the presence of a solid carry in Stonebank together with Dendi and his former Navi teammate, Funn1k, who is making his comeback to the scene. MoOz, one of the better South American position 4 players, joins their ranks as well as Lodine, the 27-year-old position 5 player from Ukraine.
The anticipation for the North American DPC season is apparent as there are plenty of promising teams that came out of the post-TI roster shuffle. With this, can the Shopify Rebellion boys maintain its long-standing dominance in a different organization?
