We say that CSK will complete their redemption arch this year and win the IPL 2023. Last season saw one of their worst ever campaigns, with the men in yellow only managing four wins from 14 games. However, the CSK of old is back in 2023 and their experience in playoffs cricket should make the difference over the next five days.
CSK also has the enormous benefit of playing GT in Chennai for the Qualifier 1 Final. The MA Chidambaram pitch strongly favours CSK’s spin heavy bowling line up. This, plus the home crowd should be enough to see the favorites GT beaten. From here, expect Chennai to switch into muscle memory and go all the way to the trophy.
Those who are after some more lucrative odds could consider a wager on the Mumbai Indians. Backing them to win, make the final against CSK, or even taking a punt on Rohit Sharma to be their top run scorer are all excellent bets. MI is rounding into form at just the right time after a slow start to the season. They’ve scored 200+ runs in six of their past nine matches, and Sharma is finally in the runs as well, scoring 56 and 37 the past two matches. For high return odds, back Mumbai to make a deep run this week.
