International Challengers Make For Exciting Jubilee Stakes on Final Day of Royal Ascot

The five-day Royal Ascot meeting comes to a conclusion on Saturday with one final Group 1 race – the 6 furlong Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes.

ウィリアムヒルThe market leader, at 5.00 with William Hill, is Anthony & Sam Freedman’s Artorius, who will be ridden by James McDonald.

Current Odds Date & Time: June 23rd, 10:00 A.M. (BST)

The Australian 4-year-old was third behind Naval Crown in last year’s running, then named the Platinum Jubilee Stakes just for 2022. A Group 1 victory at Randwick ended a two-year win-less run but then could only manage fourth in the George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill last time.

On the first day of the meeting, Highfield Princess (6.00) was second under Jason Hart in the King’s Stand Stakes and has been declared to run again for John Quinn.

The 6-year-old was also second at York in a Group 2 in May and was sixth in the 2022 running of this race.

Another 6-year-old is Wellington, ridden by Ryan Moore for Richard Gibson. Wellington’s entire 23-race career has taken place at Sha Tin, so it remains to be seen how the 7.00 chance copes with the travel and change of scenery.

Twice second and twice third in 2023 in big races all won by Lucky Sweynesse, Wellington did beat the same horse in the Hong Kong Sprint in December with Moore on board.

Frankie Dettori’s final Group 1 at Royal Ascot will be riding Kinross (9.00) for Ralph Beckett as he looks to add to his Gold Cup success earlier this week.

A third place in the Breeders’ Cup Mile ended a four-race winning run under Dettori, which included the British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot in October. Another of last year’s entrants, the now-6-year-old could only manage eighth.

Also at 9.00 is Sacred who won a Group 3 on the all-weather at Lingfield in May under Ryan Moore, but she will be back with her regular jockey Tom Marquand who has ridden her to victory three times and finished fifth in last year’s race.

Rohaan (12.00) will have to improve greatly on his only run this year so far; an eighth place in a Class 1 at Salisbury last month. The winner of the Wokingham Stakes and Bengough Stakes at Ascot in 2022, he was also fourth behind Kinross in the Champions Sprint.

Art Power (15.00) comes into this having won a Group 2 at the Curragh last month, while Al Suhail (17.00) – seventh in the Bengough – was third in the Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan in March.

American colt Big Invasion is at 19.00, Sandrine at 23.00 and it is 26.00 for the rest of the field.
