Number 1 Team w7m esports Look to Bag R6 Six Invitational 2023

The Brazilian squad looks to prove their number 1 standing in the global R6 rankings as they try to snatch the Six Invitational crown for themselves

bet365This dominance is evident in bet365’s outright odds for the Six Invitational event as w7m are given 4.50 odds, the lowest out of the 20 teams participating in what is dubbed as the game’s informal world cup.

Current Odds Date & Time: February 5th, 6:00 A.M. (GMT+8)

Coming out of Brazil, the squad had the highest Global Points for Six Invitational after scoring strong placements in two of the three majors. They managed to place 3rd-4th in both Jonkoping and Berlin following their middle of the pack 9th-12th finish in the first major of the 2023 circuit. They also managed to place second in their regional league in December, falling just shy as Team Liquid emerged victorious.

Long-time member of the squad HerdsZ, who has been with the organization since 2020, will certainly try and notch himself a Six Invitational placement as this is his first appearance in the tournament. The reinforcement of Jv92, volpz and Julio, who were added to the roster to start the season have greatly bolstered the team’s performance that has led to their current position.

Their latest addition in Julio, who was serving as Furia’s coach after a successful four year stint with NIP, is one of the most decorated players in the scene. He is obviously the best signing of the season as he won the invitational in 2021 as well as had a runner-up exit the year prior. He will be looking to put another strong finish on his belt.

Jonkoping Major winners Team BDS hailing from the European region is also a favorite coming into the season’s culminating event. The full French squad has surprised everyone after missing out on Berlin and placing 5th-8th in Charlotte during the first major. They are coming in as the reigning champions and all eyes will surely be fixated on them. They have won the past three events they have been a part of such as the Japan Invitational, the European League Finals, and the coveted Jonkoping Major all within a span of two months. Team BDS are surely coming into the final stretch hot and heavy.

While w7m have garnered the highest points with their incredible consistency, Team BDS is arriving in Montreal on a roll. Will w7m’s consistency reign supreme? Or will Team BDS’s momentum carry them through?
