Household esport organization names Gen.G and Faze Clan are amongst the highest favorites to win the RLCS Winter Split Major.
The evidence in their lead against other teams is the fact that Pinnacle has them at the most favorable odds with Gen.G at 5.35. Meanwhile, Faze Clan is tied with Karmine Corp at 6.76.

The Winter split is the second of the three main splits of the Rocket League Championship circuit before the Final showdown. The major will feature 16 teams from across different regions for a chance to win a huge chunk of the US$310,000 prize pool as well as the highly coveted RLCS points that will be needed for qualification to the final bout in August.
North America has monopolized the game with Gen.G leading the RLCS rankings across all regions with 134 points following the team’s first major split win. Faze Clan follows with 115 points in second, but other teams from other regions such as Karmine Corp at 126 points have racked up higher points than them.
Gen.G is highly favored to win the event due to their Fall success despite falling off a bit in their regional match-ups during the Winter Split. They lost to Faze in the finals of the Winter cup and fell during the quarterfinals during the Winter Invitationals. The core of the team hails all the way from England, with only Chronic waving the USA flag as the North American representative. Everything seems to have fallen into place after the roster formed in September 2022, having achieved a lot of high finishes within their first six months of playing under the Gen.G banner.
Faze on the other hand will look to continue their success during the regional Winter games. The team has been playing inspired Rocket League games ever since falling in the semi-finals to Gen.G, winning their next bouts in the Winter Invitational and Winter Cup. The all-American roster has been one of the best Rocket League teams the past year. Their latest addition, mist, who joined from Optic Gaming, has upgraded their roster to being Major contenders every split. The team will look to win in San Diego as they wave the American flag.
Will the North Americans prove their tenacity on home soil again as the Winter Major looms? Or will another team spoil their homecoming?
