Eight Teams Geared Up for CS:GO Blast Premier Fall

Non-stop Tier One Counter Strike Games will be up just a week after the Major with Blast Premier Fall featuring eight of the best teams in the world competing for a prize pool of US$425,000 and a chance to book their ticket to the BLAST World Final 2022.

Pinnacle LogoDespite the disappointing Rio Major showing, Faze Clan is still one of the favorites to win the tournament with their odds at 4.05 courtesy of bookmaker Pinnacle. The team only trails behind their 2022 rivals Navi who have been priced at 3.65.

Faze looked very shaky during their Major stint bowing out 0-3. They only managed to take one map during their entire stay in Rio winning 16-8 in Nuke but ultimately fell short to Bad News Eagles to take the early exit. The team’s situation began looking bleak after coming out of the one month player break and have yet to showcase the dominance they showed beginning in Katowice earlier this year. The trio of broky, Ropz, and Twistzz are not looking the same as they had been for much of 2022. As a result, this tournament is a huge chance for the team to get back into shape as the season comes to a close.

Navi, on the other hand, might field a new player to replace sdy as soon as the Major is over. There has been credible speculation that sdy’s last tournament with the team will be in Rio and he’ll be gone afterwards. The team picked him up as a stand-in after the departure of their igl boombl4 following a series of serious controversies.

The other teams participating can give both teams a run for their money though. Teams like Heroic and Team Liquid are really peaking right now in terms of performance and can certainly compete for first place as well. Team Liquid recently completed the signing of YEKINDAR who is now officially a part of their roster after playing as a stand-in since the player break. The addition of the entry fragger turned things around for Team Liquid as they now are back in a competitive mode.

Moreover, Furia and Fluxo coming all the way from South America will look to secure their tickets to represent the region at the World Finals. The addition of drop and Saffee has been very effective for Furia as they have been really strong and have secured high placements in their last few tourneys. Awper Saffee was added during the start of the season after being transferred from Pain Gaming. Meanwhile, Brazilian squad Fluxo led by veteran felps beat out teams like Complexity and Evil Geniuses to secure their slot in the final.

G2 will finally see action after a long hiatus. The squad failed to qualify for Rio during the RMRs. This came as a shock to everyone as they seemed to be finally gelling as a squad after a year full of roster changes that included switching igls from Nexa to Aleksib and now to Hooxi in a span of a year.

With eight of the top teams gunning for the World Finals ticket, BLAST Premier Fall offers quite a few very exciting Counter Strike matches. Will Faze redeem themselves?
