PGA Tour: Shriners Children’s Open 2023 | Can Aberg Finish the Job This Week?

Shriners Children's Open 2023

The PGA Tour carries on this week heading to Las Vegas, Nevada, where the TPC at Summerlin will play host to the Shriners Children’s Open 2023. While the field may not be stacked with big names, this will be a hotly contested event as several players arrive in strong form, and there are plenty of 2023 FedEx Cup Fall points up for grabs as well.

Ludvig Aberg is the man of the hour in golf at the moment, having led Europe to Ryder Cup glory just a few weeks ago then backed up his performance with an impressive run at the Sanderson Farms Championship last week. Can the Swede go all the way in Las Vegas and claim the title? Defending champion Tom Kim will have something to say about that, as will the likes of rising star Si Woo Kim. Throw in LPGA star Lexi Thompson, who will be looking to punch above her weight and grab some headlines in Nevada, and there’s some excellent betting to be had.

bet365We break down all the latest odds from bookmaker bet365 and outline the best bets to make on the Shriners Children’s Open 2023 ahead of the first tee this week.

Shriners Children's Open 2023 odds
Current Odds Date & Time: October 12th, 2:00 A.M. (GMT)

Two clear favourites exist at the bookies ahead of the Shriners Children’s Open 2023 this week, with both Ludvig Aberg and Tom Kim paying 13.00 for a win in Las Vegas. Behind these two, the odds drop off quite significantly, with the next best being Cameron Davis and Si Woo Kim at 23.00, followed by Adam Schenk and J.T. Poston at 31.00.

In terms of the best bets to make on this event, it’s a choice between one of the two favourites or backing a dark horse for a big return. Will the form of Aberg or the experience of Kim be enough to see them lift the trophy?

Shriners Children's Open 2023

We say no, and the best bet here is to go with a dark horse. Someone like Vincent Norrman could be a great wager here, with the Swede having found some reasonable form over recent months. Norrman has six top 25 finishes in his last 13 events, including three top 10 runs, one of which ended in the title at the Barbasol Championship. While he missed the cut here last year and has had some mixed results since lifting the trophy in Nicholasville, considering how wide open this field is outside of the top two favourites, we say Norrman is a great bet here to win the Shriners Children’s Open 2023.
