Two clear favourites exist at the bookies ahead of the Shriners Children’s Open 2023 this week, with both Ludvig Aberg and Tom Kim paying 13.00 for a win in Las Vegas. Behind these two, the odds drop off quite significantly, with the next best being Cameron Davis and Si Woo Kim at 23.00, followed by Adam Schenk and J.T. Poston at 31.00.
In terms of the best bets to make on this event, it’s a choice between one of the two favourites or backing a dark horse for a big return. Will the form of Aberg or the experience of Kim be enough to see them lift the trophy?
We say no, and the best bet here is to go with a dark horse. Someone like Vincent Norrman could be a great wager here, with the Swede having found some reasonable form over recent months. Norrman has six top 25 finishes in his last 13 events, including three top 10 runs, one of which ended in the title at the Barbasol Championship. While he missed the cut here last year and has had some mixed results since lifting the trophy in Nicholasville, considering how wide open this field is outside of the top two favourites, we say Norrman is a great bet here to win the Shriners Children’s Open 2023.
