UFC Fight Night 233: Song vs. Gutierrez | Final Hit Out of the Year in Vegas

The UFC will host its final fight night for the year this weekend, with UFC Fight Night 233: Song vs. Gutierrez taking place at the sport’s spiritual home in Las Vegas. Despite a lack of exciting names on this weekend’s card, there are still plenty of tight bouts to bet on and we’ve got all the right angles for you to take ahead of this Saturday night.

Headlining the clash are bantamweights Yadong Song and Chris Gutierrez, who will both be looking to rebuild momentum in the promotion after recent losses. Barely a whisker separates these two on paper, with reach, weight, height and professional records looking mighty similar at this stage of their careers. Who will get their nose in front on Saturday night?

ウィリアムヒルWe break down all the latest betting odds from bookmaker William Hill ahead of this clash and outline the best bets to make on the UFC Fight Night 233 this weekend.

Current Odds Date & Time: December 8th, 11:30 P.M. (GMT)

Despite their similarities on paper, bookmaker William Hill has Yadong Song as a clear favourite heading into this bout. With odds of just 1.28, the Chinese fighter is well ahead of Chris Gutierrez’s payout of 3.60 for a win on Saturday night.

In terms of method of victory, bookies are picking that this one will end early at the hands of Song. A knockout for Song pays 2.10, slightly ahead of his odds to win on points that are 2.75. Gutierrez’s best chance is a decision, but this pays fairly heavy odds of 6.50, while a knockout for the American is at 7.50.

Current Odds Date & Time: December 8th, 11:30 P.M. (GMT)

The reality is, Song deserves to be within the top five fighters in this division, while Gutierrez does not. The American has had success to date but hasn’t fought anyone of real merit. Song, despite two losses in the UFC, has proved he has the skills to duke it out with the big boys. Any bet on the Chinese fighter winning is a decent one, considering he has the skill-set to end this one a plethora of different ways.

In terms of the best bet, however, we say keeping it simple and betting on Song to win by knockout is the way to go. The 26-year-old has five knockouts already in the UFC, with a vicious strike that we expect he’ll use to wear down Gutierrez before pouncing in the middle rounds and leaving the American seeing stars on the deck.
