VALORANT Champions 2023: Fnatic Looking to Take Out Biggest Ever Prize Pool

VALORANT Champions 2023

The biggest event in the VALORANT year is here and it’s bigger than ever before. With a prize pool of $2,250,000, and 16 teams fighting it out for three weeks, whoever comes out on top with find themselves $1,000,000 richer come August 26th.

With the third ever VALORANT Champions being hosted in Los Angeles, the next three weeks will also reveal if we have a new champion or not. Across the past two editions there have been two different winners—can LOUD stop that trend and defend their title? Or will they be knocked off their perch by an in-form Fnatic, who look like the team to beat this year?

ウィリアムヒルWe break down all the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill and outline the best bets to make on the VALORANT Champions 2023 this weekend.

The outright betting odds from bookmaker William Hill tell a clear story: Fnatic is the favourite to win here and clearly so. With odds of 2.10, their odds are almost half that of the next best side, which is Paper Rex on 4.00. Evil Geniuses is not far behind on 5.50 before NRG and LOUD round out the top five betting favourites on 7.50 and 8.00 respectively.

Fnatic is the heavy favourite for good reason. The most recent information we have to make a decision on in terms of betting on an outright winner is how these teams performed in the most recent S-Tier event, which was the VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo. There, Fnatic was absolutely dominant, winning the title with a 3-0 sweep of Evil Geniuses in the Grand Final. It was not a one-off either—Fnatic has been in all of the S-Tier finals this season, only losing once. The return may not be the biggest, but backing Fnatic for a win at the VALORANT Champions 2023 is the best idea.

Looking at some other betting lines, there’s good value in wagering on defending champion LOUD to put together a strong campaign and at least make the final here. The reality is LOUD has been a tough bet over the past two years due to their erratic results—one week they win a tournament, the next they crash out before the playoffs.

Thankfully, LOUD seems to have just got their poor result out of the way at the VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo, where they finished 7th-8th. Historically the team has bounced back well after a disappointing result like this, and as the defending champion in Los Angeles this year, one has to think that a focused, motivated LOUD side will turn up. They pay 3.50 to make the final, which feels like a good value bet.
