Despite losing two straight, the Rockets must take pride in the fact that their two losses were rather close. Their first loss of the series came in overtime and their second loss was decided by just three points. If Houston can stay afloat late in games against OKC, they might be able to take game 5 away from the Thunder.
We knew this series was going to be even and competitive. Being a 4th seed vs. 5th seed series, the Rockets/Thunder match up is even in a variety of ways.
Houston relies heavily on James Harden, but they have seen multiple players drop points in this series. While Harden is the main guy in Houston, the Rockets saw all five starters score double-digits in game 4. This is a recipe for success and it will be interesting to see if Houston can maintain their offensive prowess in game 5.
Russell Westbrook is questionable for tomorrow’s game, so this is the perfect opportunity for OKC to strike. Westbrook is a key ingredient to Houston’s success and his absence leaves a gigantic hole in the Rockets’ lineup.
If the Thunder want to capture this win, their bench will need to continue to play at an elite role. They dismantled the Rocket’s bench and is one of the main reasons they took game 4.
