The Colorado Avalanche (10-5-1) have heated up lately and will go for a seventh consecutive win on Friday against the Dallas Stars (8-7-2).
The Avalanche are leading the league with a 4.06 goals-for average and plenty of scoring is expected here as well with bookmaker BetOnline having the goals total set at 6.0. The odds for the over are at +103 and for the under at -114.
※ Current Odds Date & Time: November 25th, 7:30 P.M. (EST)
Colorado is currently playing without their star center Nathan MacKinnon, who’s been out since Nov. 6 with a lower-body injury, but they have taken it almost like a challenge knocking off teams with ease. Veteran forward Nazem Kadri has really stepped up putting together a 10-game point streak that includes 21 total points.
Kadri sits on 25 points for the whole campaign, and he’s suddenly among the league’s best scorers chilling alongside the likes of Alex Ovechkin, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl at the top of the scoring list.
Defenseman Cale Makar has been huge for the team lately as well. He tied a franchise record for the longest goal streak among blue-liners with four games in Wednesday’s 5-2 win over Anaheim and has racked up 10 points during the team’s winning streak. Makar leads all defensemen with eight goals and boasts 16 points with just 14 appearances.
It will be very difficult to stop the Avalanche although Dallas has also found some form lately going 4-1-0 in five games. Jake Oettinger has rewarded the coaching staff for their trust by going 3-0-0 in his first three starts of the campaign and last year’s breakout star Roope Hintz has finally found his game.
The Finnish forward managed to record just one point in his first 10 outings of the season, but he boasts back-to-back multi-point games and has tallied nine points in total over the past seven games.
Hintz’s contributions have been very important for the Stars, who generally rely on their big-hitters Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov to carry the offense. The trio has combined for just 26 points so far in 2021-22.
The Stars are getting only 2.71 goals per game with the Big Three out of form, and they really have to get going here for the team to have a chance to hang with the league’s top scorers. Seguin is averaging over a point per game for his career against Colorado and Benn has produced 41 points in 47 games, so they aren’t used to getting shut down by the Avalanche.
