This time four months ago, the unstoppable force of Devin Haney came to Australia to take on the immovable object of George Kambosos in a unifying lightweight title fight. Both fighters were undefeated across the 47 fights they’d contested and this was the bout that would decide who stood king over the lightweight boxing world.
It was home favourite Kambosos who fell in June 2022 with the 29-year-old Australian suffering the first defeat of his professional career. Now, however, Haney has returned to Kambosos’ backyard yet again for a lightweight title fight, this time seeking to defend his perfect 28-0-0 record and WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and WBO belts.
Will Haney generate a repeat performance to establish himself as the undisputed force in lightweight boxing or can Kambosos stand his ground this time to knock Haney from his perch? We look at all the fight odds ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Clearly, bookmaker William Hill expects Devin Haney to pull off a repeat result over George Kambosos. The current odds for an outright winner in this fight stand at 1.12 vs. 6.50 in favour of Haney with 21.00 for a draw. This puts Haney as the overwhelming favourite ahead of Saturday night’s bout.
In their first fight, Haney won by unanimous decision. While Kambosos was able to hold his own and avoid getting knocked out, Haney thoroughly outclassed his older opponent. The 23-year-old American landed a total of 147 punches in their June 2022 match-up, a good 30% more than Kambosos. This was largely due to his excellent footwork and movement—Haney danced around the ring like a ballerina and Kambosos was unable to pin him down at all in the 12 rounds.

Looking at the method of victory odds for Saturday night’s clash, William Hill expects Haney to again win by decision. With odds of 1.50 for Haney to be victorious on points, it is well ahead of the next most likely method, which is a Haney knockout at 3.25.
If Kambosos is to win, bookmakers say he’s going to have to knockout Haney. Odds are 11.00 for a Kambosos knockout, but chances are the Australian will come out swinging knowing he needs to change up his approach from June. A bet on Kambosos to score an early knockout in the first three rounds wouldn’t be the worst punt with a return of 67.00.
