Will Kyler Murray Go First Overall in the NFL Draft?

NFL Draft

The NFL draft can change the outlook of a franchise with one selection. A number one draft pick is a huge deal in the NFL and there is no shortage of talented prospects in this year’s draft.

The Arizona Cardinals will select first in the upcoming draft if they do not trade the pick prior to the selection. Last season, the Cardinals finished with a 3-13 record and were dead last in the NFC West and NFL.

Online bookmaker SportsBetting has Kyler Murray listed at -400 for the 2019 1st overall pick.

Kyle Murray

Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams, and Josh Allen are the four listed athletes by Sportsbetting for the potential first overall pick.

SportsBetting LogoKyler Murray is the favorite entering the draft, but are the Cardinals searching for another QB? Currently, Arizona has Josh Rosen in the pocket, so Murray may not be the best option. Murray was indecisive about his football career after being selected in the MLB Draft. Ultimately, Murray would decide football was a better suitor for him.

With that being said, the consensus is that Murray will be the number one selection ever since his showing at the combine. Will the Cardinals roll with Murray in the draft? If so, what happens to Rosen?

Nick Bosa

The Cardinals need help on defense, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see Nick Bosa be selected in the first overall spot. Bosa has 47 solo tackles during his college career and racked up 17.5 sacks over three seasons with Ohio State.

Quinnen Williams should be given consideration at potentially being selected first overall. The defensive linemen out of Alabama had 19.5 tackles for losses last season, including 8 sacks.

Former Kentucky Wildcat Josh Allen is explosive as well, although he seems to be a longshot to be selected first overall. While Williams and Bosa have the best chance at number one, Allen seems to be a top four to five pick.
