Dodger fans are all too familiar with the NLCS and success in general. Since 2013, the Dodgers have reached the Division Series at a minimum every season.

Reaching the World Series twice in that span, LA has had tremendous success in recent years. However, their success has not won them a championship since 1988. Another opportunity arises for LA, but they needed to take down the young and talented Braves.

Atlanta has tasted glory in recent seasons but are trying to reach the World Series for the first time since 1996. Their young core is one of the best in baseball. Add in veterans like Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna, and Nick Markakis and it’s easy to see why Atlanta has success.

Entering this season, the Dodgers had one of the highest-rated pitching rotations in the league. Headlined by lefty Clayton Kershaw, the veteran wearer of blue and white is longing for success at the championship level. With the weight of LA on his shoulders, Kershaw (among other longtime Dodger players) are hoping to get over the hump in the NLCS.

Atlanta has longtime tenured players as well. Freeman has been a star in Atlanta for years and has been one of the most consistent players in the league this season. Freeman, alongside other Braves’ veterans, are destined to bring success back to the city.

The Dodgers are the favorites entering this series, but anything can happen in 2020. Will it be the Dodgers or Braves punching their ticket to the World Series?
