Team Envy and Vision Battle in Fusion Tournament

K Fusion Rocket League tourney announced

Placement into the Semi-Finals is up for grabs today in the Fusion Tournament. Team Envy dukes it out against Vision in the best-of-7 contest. The winner will go on to face Rogue in the Semis.

The Fusion tournament is interesting because there are three components. 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 are all played at Fusion, with teams being awarded points based on their final standings in the brackets.

The loser of today’s matchup in the 3v3 best-of-7 will not earn a single point in the tournament for this bracket, so today’s contest is huge.

It’s no surprise that Team Envy comes into this meeting the favorite. Team Envy regularly competes at some high profile tournaments, ranging from B-Tier to S-Tier brackets. While Envy may not be projected to win the Fusion Tournament, they are expected to place well.

Vision should put up a fight, but it’s evident that they are not used to high-profile tournaments such as this one. Many of these members are joining for this tournament, so I have to wonder how much chemistry Vision has against a veteran group like Team Envy.

With that being said, Team Envy have failed to make it out of the 1v1 or 2v2 Quarterfinals. Team Envy is known for being a 3’s team as compared to a duos or solos group, so it’s evident why they are the favorites today. Envy has zero points so far but that could change with a victory today.

Vision recently won their QF matchup against 72PC and are looking to ride that momentum into their 3v3 match.
