Janibek Alimkhanuly vs. Denzel Bentley: WBO World Middleweight Title Fight | Odds Preview

The home of boxing brings another title fight this Saturday night with Las Vegas playing host to Janibek Alimkhanuly vs. Denzel Bentley from the Palms Casino Resort.

Alimkhanuly heads into this match-up full of confidence having never tasted defeat in his professional career. The Kazakh puts his WBO World Middleweight Title on the line as he takes on Denzel Bentley, who comes into this fight as the underdog but on a three fight winning streak. While its unlikely that any belts will be changing hands on Saturday night, this is still a fascinating fight to bet on.

There’s no two ways to say it—Alimkhanuly is the overwhelming favourite here and with odds of 1.06 to 9.00, it would be a huge shock if he doesn’t successfully defend his WBO belt.

The 29-year-old Kazakh has an unblemished professional record to date having won all 12 of his fights since debuting as a professional in 2018. His career began with a win over Carlos Galvan in September 2018, and since then he has gradually fought harder and harder opponents moving through a high volume of fights since his debut with 12 in four years.

Analyzing the method of victory odds further, these don’t read much better for Denzel Bentley either. The Englishman is heavily favoured to lose by knockout with bookmaker William Hill paying 1.17 for an Alimkhanuly knockout victory.

Denzel Bentley has a respectable professional record standing at 17-1-1 since debuting as a professional in 2017. The Englishman went undefeated across his first 11 fights before being stopped by Felix Cash in 2021 through a third round TKO. Since then Bentley has come back strong with three wins in the past year.

Bottom line is Bentley will be outmatched here. It’s been over three years since a fighter managed to go the distance with Alimkhanuly with the Kazakh winning six straight fights by way of knockout. Despite Bentley’s form and heart, he is not of the caliber to alter that trend. Take Alimkhanuly to win by knockout here with a return of 1.17.

For a slightly more lucrative bet, Alimkhanuly is paying 3.25 to win in rounds 1-3. Considering the champion’s last knockout came in only the second round against Danny Dignum, this could be the best bet to make on Saturday night.
