Jürgen Klopp’s men head to the Emirates after playing out back-to-back draws and they have won just twice all season in the league, but the match-up against Arsenal has been very favorable for them. The Gunners have won just one of the last 14 league meetings between the two teams.

There’s a chance to make history on Sunday as well for Liverpool as they have never previously beaten Arsenal in five consecutive league games. Mikel Arteta’s side has lost the previous four meetings with a combined score of 12-1.

Liverpool’s problems this season start from their first-half performances. They have the worst first-half record in the league having trailed at the break in five of their seven matches. Klopp, who has lost just one of his 18 matches as Liverpool boss against Arsenal, clearly needs to get his side more focused for the beginning of games.

The Liverpool players will get some good learning material on Sunday as Arsenal boast the best first-half record in the league. They have been ahead at halftime five times and behind just once in eight matches.

Arteta’s men were very inconsistent last season, but they have done superbly so far in 2022-23 and the tally of 21 points in eight games marks the club’s third-best start to a Premier League campaign.

It’s been a great team effort from Arsenal, but Jesus has drawn the most plaudits, and rightly so. The former Manchester City man has averaged one goal involvement per game so far, netting five goals and delivering three assists. Only Erling Haaland has been involved in more Premier League goals this season (12).

Jesus has an incredible record of not losing any of his 51 league appearances in England in which he has scored, so getting him on the scoresheet on Sunday would be a major step for Arsenal in their quest to improve their miserable head-to-head record against Liverpool. The Brazilian forward is three games short of matching James Milner’s league record for the longest such run.
