Norrköping’s downfall started pretty unexpectedly as the team went on a nice four-game winning streak early in the spring. Two-time Allsvenskan manager of the year Rikard Norling led the team to a seventh-place finish during his debut campaign at the club and it appeared that Norrköping were again set to battle for a top-six finish, but they are some way off the pace now.

Norling will be desperate to see Jonathan Levi return to form. The 26-year-old winger was in immense form earlier in the season and his performance included an incredible game with two goals and two assists in a 5-1 victory over Sundsvall. Levi has produced five goals and five assists in total in the league this season and his form seems to be directly linked to the team’s success.

Levi has gone cold since the Sundsvall game, and in fact, the match played on May 15 has remained as Norrköping’s last win. The team’s current win-less streak includes a home loss suffered against Göteborg just a week ago. Can they get their revenge at Gamla Ullevi?

Göteborg have moved in the opposite direction over the last few weeks. The team has bounced back from a six-game win-less streak with a run of one defeat in six games. The streak includes three victories and it’s helped Göteborg to move up to the seventh spot.

Göteborg are one of the best defensive teams in the league and they have veteran Marcus Berg banging in the goals. The well-traveled forward sits on seven goals and four assists through 13 league appearances this season.

Norrköping beat Göteborg away from home last August, but they are one of only five visiting teams to win at Gamla Ullevi over the last 12 months. It’s another very tricky match for the slumping side and it’s going to take a massive effort to put a stop to the rot.
