This week the PGA Tour takes a turn for the philanthropic, heading to Texas for the season’s leading charity fundraiser. Despite the AT&T Byron Nelson’s strong record of giving back to the community, make no mistake—the competition will be just as fierce as any other event.
Hosted on the TPC Craig Ranch in Dallas, World No. 2 Scottie Scheffler is the big name to watch in Texas this week. Can he live up to his favourite tag and add another trophy to his cabinet this season or will Lee Kyoung-hoon make it three straight titles in Dallas? We break down all the best bets to make on the AT&T Byron Nelson 2023 with the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill.

Sure enough, William Hill has Scottie Scheffler as the heavy favourite in the outright betting odds. At 4.50, Scheffler is well ahead of the next favourite, Tyrrell Hatton who sits at 13.00. From here the odds tighten up however as Jason Day and Tom Kim are both on 17.00 with Hideki Matsuyama just behind at 21.00. Defending champion Lee Kyoung-hoon is the sixth favourite, paying 23.00 for a third consecutive victory.
Top five finish odds offer a similar spread with Scheffler at 1.91 before Hatton, Day and Kim are all between 4.00 and 4.50 with Matsuyama and Lee tied on 5.50.

Scottie Scheffler is the favourite to win here in Dallas for good reason. To date this season, the American has five top five finishes, with two of those being titles at the WM Phoenix Open and the PLAYERS Championship. Interestingly, while Scheffler hasn’t finished outside of the top 12 in any event since October 2022, he’s been in something of a rhythm with his results. He’ll either win or go very deep in a tournament, then post a few less impressive results for the next few events before again going deep or winning.
Looking at Scheffler’s recent results, he’s finished T10 and T11 at the Masters Tournament and the RBC Heritage. Purely extrapolating the flow of his season so far, we’d recommend either backing him to win at 4.50 or at least to go deep for a top five finish at 1.91.
An alternative bet here could be backing Lee Kyoung-hoon to make it three in a row. Statistically unlikely, sure, but the reality is Lee has looked unstoppable the past two years on this course. While the 31-year-old has had a patchy season so far, he did finish T8 last week at the Wells Fargo Championship. Returning to the ground where he’s had such success in the past might be exactly what he needs to regain momentum in 2023. With odds of 23.00, there’s a great return on this bet.
