It’s not every weekend that Bellator outshines the UFC in mixed martial arts, but this weekend that’s exactly what will happen. With the imminent sale of Bellator, this could well be the final Bellator event as we know it, and the promotion is going all out with a bang by putting on several brilliant match-ups. Leading the charge is Yaroslav Amosov vs. Jason Jackson fighting for the Bellator MMA Welterweight Championship.
Both men enter this title fight in excellent form, with Amosov undefeated across 27 professional fights and Jackson riding a six-fight winning streak dating back to 2019. Will Amosov be able to keep his unbeaten record alive or can Jackson pull off what would be a monumental upset on the biggest of stage in Chicago this weekend?
We break down all the latest odds from bookmaker William Hill and outline the best bets to make on Bellator 301 this weekend.

Understandably, Yaroslav Amosov is a heavy favourite heading into this welterweight title fight. The Ukrainian is returning a low 1.22 to win outright, well ahead of Jason Jackson’s outright odds of 4.20. Betting on the method of victory will be where money is made in this fight, with 1.80 being returned for Amosov winning by decision. The Ukrainian winning by knockout or submission is the next most likely outcome at 2.75, before Jackson’s best odds are a decision at 7.00, with a finish close behind at 7.50.

In terms of the best bets to make on this fight, there are several roads to go down. First, taking the conservative wager of Amosov winning by decision seems like a reasonable approach. The 30-year-old has won six of his eight fights in the Bellator promotion on the judges’ cards, with only one knockout and one submission at the highest level (but plenty in his earlier fights).
Chances are, against an opponent of Jackson’s calibre, this one will go the distance again. Expect Amosov to win still, courtesy of his better skills in the striking game. Jackson also has never landed a finish in Bellator, meaning the Jamaican isn’t too much of a threat to do so on Friday night.
For those after some slightly more lucrative odds, betting on a Jackson knockout could be the way to go. Bottom line is that while the Jamaican hasn’t scored any knockouts in his Bellator career so far, the reality is he has never needed to do so as badly as he will on Friday night. His chances of going the distance and winning are slim, so the 33-year-old could well alter his approach to be far more aggressive. It’s an unlikely outcome but at 7.50 is a strong dark horse bet.
