Juve is looking to complete a league double over Inter on Sunday. The Nerazzurri managed to win three derbies in a row before second-half goals from Adrien Rabiot and Nicolo Fagioli gave Juventus a 2-0 win in November. The Old Lady hasn’t managed to do the double in the fixture since 2019-20 so it would be a very special feat.

Three points on Sunday would also provide Juventus with another boost in their quest of getting into the Champions League for next season. A 15-point deduction for financial violations has put the club in a very tough spot, but it isn’t impossible to close the current 10-point gap with the top four.

Will Rabiot shine again on Sunday? The Frenchman has just hit a brace against Sampdoria, and scoring-wise, the 2022-23 campaign has been Rabiot’s best ever. He’s never really been known for his goal scoring ability but the 27-year-old has netted nine times this season, which is more than he managed in the previous four seasons combined.

Inter’s chances almost always depend on how well Lautaro Martinez plays. He had a shocker in the last Serie A round when the Argentine star missed a host of chances, including a penalty, in a 2-1 loss to Spezia. However, off days have become very rare for Martinez and he should be highly motivated to get back on track Sunday.

For the season overall, only Napoli’s Victor Osimhen (19) has scored more goals in Serie A than Martinez (14), which shows that it’s been a great campaign for the 25-year-old despite the team being well off the pace in the title race. Inter is also battling for a top-four spot and won’t want to give up any points in a tight race with there being only five points between them and fifth-placed Atalanta.
