AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am | Celebrities Turn Out in California

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

For a third consecutive week, the PGA Tour will see its golf played in California. This time, the players head to one of the most famous stops on tour—the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Starting this Thursday, play will occur across three different golf courses on the first three days, with plenty of celebrities expected to join in the action including Bill Murray and Josh Allen. Then, when the tournament gets towards the pointy end of the draw, players will converge on the Pebble Beach Golf Links to complete the final round.

Expect this event to be tightly contested with Viktor Holland, Jordan Spieth and Matt Fitzpatrick all fancying their chances this week in California, while Tom Hoge will also be eager to defend his title. We look at all the latest odds and best bets with bookmaker William Hill.

Looking at the outright odds, we can see that the highest ranked players on the PGA Tour are rightfully leading the betting odds to win the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. World No. 10 Matt Fitzpatrick is paying 11.00, odds that he also shares with World No. 11 Viktor Holland and World No. 16 Jordan Spieth. After these three co-leaders, the odds drop off significantly with the next favourite sitting at 17.00 in the form of Maverick McNealy before defending champion Tom Hoge rounds out the top five pre-tournament favourites at 19.00.

Joint favourite Jordan Spieth has not had the best season so far with his strongest result being a T13 finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Most recently, he failed to make the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii. However, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am appears to bring the best out of the 29-year-old with the American winning here in 2017 and finishing runner up last year. Expect another strong performance from Spieth this week as he looks to avenge last year’s narrow loss.

Those who aren’t interested in backing Justin Spieth this week may want to consider a wager on Tom Hoge instead. The World No. 29 won this event past year, hitting -19 to beat Spieth by two strokes. Not only has he had success on this course, but Hoge is also having a strong season so far—the 33-year-old has three top five finishes in 2022-23, including most recently at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He’s also been consistent, finishing in the top 15 in six of the ten events he’s played. A wager on Hoge to win at 19.00 or to finish in the top five at 6.00 would be a smart bet.
