While the big names in golf are teeing off over in England at the BMW PGA Championship, there’s plenty more action for those state-side that don’t fancy staying up late. The Fortinet Championship takes place over the coming four days in California, with Silverado Country Club hosting this par 72 tournament.
Max Homa is the name on everyone’s lips when it comes to the Fortinet Championship 2023 as the American has won the past two editions in a row. Can he make it three from three this year? Justin Thomas and Sahith Theegala will be hoping not in addition to plenty of others as well in this field that are aiming to hoist the silverware on Sunday.
Read on for our Fortinet Championship 2023 predictions as we break down all the latest odds from bookmaker bet365 ahead of Thursday’s start.

It’s no surprise that Max Homa is a heavy favourite here, with the American paying almost half the odds of his next closest rival in California this week. Homa is at 8.50 to win the Fortinet Championship 2023, with Justin Thomas and Sahith Theegala coming in next, both on 16.00. Cameron Davis is the fourth favourite on 23.00, before Stephen Jaeger rounds out the top five betting favourites on 25.00.
Odds to finish in the top five at this event follow a similar trend, with Homa sitting top of the pack at 2.90. There’s a steep drop off, with Thomas through to Jaeger paying 4.50 to 6.00.

There are two ways of approaching betting on the Fortinet Championship 2023. Either assume that Max Homa, who has been so dominant, will continue his winning ways or make the most of the fact that Homa’s dominance drives up the odds for the rest of the field and capitalise on this assuming that Homa is unlikely to win three in a row.
We say the latter is the best angle, particularly considering that Homa is win-less across his last 19 starts and outside of his two wins at the Fortinet Championship, he has failed to perform here on five other occasions. Instead, we say betting on Justin Thomas to come right is a good gamble. The 30-year-old has had a shocker of a year, going win-less for the first time since he joined the Tour in 2015 and finishing 71st in the FedEx rankings.
However, Thomas is a two-time major winner and is bound to come right at some stage. His T9 last week at the Wyndham Championship was encouraging, and the American could well go on to make a deep run here too. We say back him for a top 10 finish at 2.90 and throw a cheeky punt on him to win outright while you’re at it.
