2023 Rolex Paris Masters ATP 1000 | Djokovic and Alcaraz Look to Rekindle Rivalry

2023 Rolex Paris Masters ATP 1000

The ATP tour is winding its way to a close in 2023, with just two big events remaining in the calendar for this season. One of these unfolds this coming week as the 2023 Rolex Paris Masters takes place in Bercy, Paris. With the best of the best showing up for this ATP 1000 event, fans can expect plenty of great tennis action and some excellent betting to be had as well.

Heading into Paris, there are two big story lines. The rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz and the race to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. Djokovic and Alcaraz have both taken some time away from the sport, with the former not competing since September. With the year-end world No. 1 ranking up for grabs, will we see yet another Djokovic vs. Alcaraz final in Paris? Or will one of the players looking to secure a spot in Turin make a surge all the way to the title here?

bet365We break down all the latest odds from bookmaker bet365 and outline the best bets to make on the Rolex Paris Masters ahead of the first match this week.

There are several great bets to make ahead of the Rolex Paris Masters this year. First, betting on the winner to come from quarter one is an excellent wager. Obviously, Djokovic is the favourite to win this tournament. He’s done so six times previously and is coming to Paris off the back of winning his third Grand Slam of the year. Considering that a seventh year-end world No. 1 finish is within his grasp, expect the Serbian to turn up focused and execute ruthlessly.

If, for whatever reason, Djokovic stumbles in Paris, his quarter contains several other title contenders. Holger Rune won the Rolex Paris Masters this time last year and has shown signs of rekindling this form with a final semi-final in Basel over the weekend. Ben Shelton has recently won this first ATP title and is in hot form. Throw in the mercurial Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and local hero Arthur Fils and this quarter is looking like a fantastic bet at 2.37.

Taking a completely different route to the bet above, there’s also some great value to be had by betting on underdogs in this tournament. Sure, one of Djokovic or Alcaraz are most likely to win—however, as we see time and time again in tennis, it’s not always the top dogs who make it all the way to the end.

A player like Alexander Zverev, who is 51-25 with two titles in 2023, is more than capable of stringing together a title run in Paris this week. The German made the final here in 2020, and should he win this week, he would return a lucrative 26.00.
