The FedEx Cup and Ryder Cup may be over, but that doesn’t mean that golf is done for the year. The PGA Tour heads to Mississippi this week where the Country Club of Jackson will play host to the latest edition of the Sanderson Farms Championship. With more than $8 million on the line and a relatively open field, there’s plenty of great betting to be had on golf this week.
Last year’s event saw Canadian Mackenzie Hughes win out of nowhere. The 32-year-old will be hard pressed to defend his title, particularly with Ludvig Aberg coming back from Rome in fine form after guiding Europe to Ryder Cup success. Stephan Jaeger will also fancy his chances of grabbing a title in a thin field this year. Who will come out on top?
We break down all the latest odds with bookmaker bet365 and outline the best bets to make on the Sanderson Farms Championship 2023.

Looking at the outright betting odds from bookmaker bet365, man of the hour Ludvig Aberg is the clear favourite, paying a low 13.00 to win this weekend. Behind the Swede, world No. 25 Stephen Jaeger comes in second in the betting odds at 19.00, ahead of Eric Cole on 21.00. Rounding out the top five favourites, Lee Hodges and Emiliano Grillo are joint fourth, both paying 26.00 to win.
In terms of top finishes, Lee Hodges is the only one whose odds are significantly different, with the other top favourites all sitting between 4.00 and 7.00 for a top five finish.

With an event devoid of top 10 players for once, the usual suspects for betting aren’t available this week. However, we agree with the bookies and say that Ludvig Aberg is an excellent chance at winning this tournament. The Swede played excellent in the Ryder Cup and should be able to ride that momentum right into the Sanderson Farms Championship this week. Back him for an outright win, or more conservatively to have a deep run into the top five.
Two other top finish bets offer great value too. Eric Cole is in strong form after having finished fourth at the Fortinet Championship a fortnight ago, and we recommend picking him for a second top five finish here in Jackson. Henrik Norlander is also an excellent high odds bet, with the golfer recording two top five finishes at the Sanderson Farms Championship since 2020. His recent form is nothing to write home about, however with a return of 36.00 for a top five finish, this is a wager that’s tough to walk away from.
