Snooker’s serial winner, Ronnie O’Sullivan, is no novice when it comes to major titles. The current world number one boasts a staggering 23 Triple Crown trophies in his cabinet. That’s a mighty seven World Championship wins alongside a record-breaking eight UK Championships and eight Masters titles.
Despite turning 48, O’Sullivan shows no signs of slowing down. After a barren Triple Crown spell last season, he’s well and truly back on form this year, having secured victories at both the UK Championship andthe Masters.
“The Rocket” is primed to achieve an historic feat – a clean sweep of the Triple Crown this season. This would be the first time in his illustrious career, stretching back to the early 90s, that he’s clinched all three titles in a single year. O’Sullivan’s momentum seems unstoppable at the moment, so he is the ultimate favourite in Sheffield.
Judd Trump to Make Semi-Finals
Our next 2024 World Snooker Championship prediction is that Judd Trump will make a deep run. Trump clinched his first-ever World Championship title during the 2018-19 season. Following years of disappointment and setbacks, the 34-year-old finally managed to enter the revered club of World Championship victors.
Trump is one of the most talented cueists on the planet, but he has been largely inconsistent throughout his career. He has been in good form this year, however. The 2024 German Masters champion has lost only three times in 23 single games since January 15. Expect him to make a deep run here, only falling to O’Sullivan in the penultimate match.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has the shortest 2024 World Snooker Championship odds. He is at 3.25 to go all the way. Trump follows as the second favourite, with odds of 5.00. Mark Selby, last year’s runner-up, is priced at 13.00, aiming for a more favourable outcome this time around.
