The past month has seen a fascinating line up of international rugby fixtures unfold with all of the major Southern Hemisphere teams traveling to the North Hemisphere for a series of games.
While both hemispheres have scored some impressive wins, Ireland and France will round out the year still firmly holding the top two spots in world rugby. Most of the tours have finished now, however two matches remain to be played this coming weekend. Despite the reduced number of games this Saturday, there are still plenty of excellent betting opportunities to be had in these clashes with Wales hosting Australia and England taking on South Africa.
Bookmaker William Hill has all the odds for these match-ups, and we preview the best bets to be made this weekend.

Looking at the overall odds ahead of these matches, we can see that both of the home sides are favourites heading into their tussles.
Wales are paying 1.73 to defeat Australia with the visitors on 2.15. Both teams will be desperate for a win here with each only picking up one win in the last month. Wales started the international Test window with a comprehensive 23-55 loss to the All Blacks before bouncing back the next week to claim a messy 20-13 win over Argentina. However, they will be sorely disappointed in last week’s performance, which saw them again lose, this time 12-13 to the second tier Georgia.
Australia haven’t been much better the past month. Across their four games, they’ve won one and lost three—however, the saving grace is that they’ve been competitive, losing by no more than three points across each of their losses. While tight losses to France and Ireland at their home grounds is nothing to be ashamed of, the fact that Australia barely snuck home 16-15 against Scotland and lost 28-27 against Italy will be of concern.
Either team would love to end their season on a high. Take Wales at 1.73 to bounce back strong in front of a home crowd and motivated to make up for their poor showing last weekend against Georgia.
The final international match of the year is an absolute cracker of a match-up with a repeat of the 2007 and 2019 World Cup finals between England and South Africa on the cards.
England were lucky to eek out a draw against a dominant New Zealand side that took their foot off the gas too early last weekend. Prior to that, they put on a good showing against Japan, dispatching the visitors 52-13, before which they suffered a shock loss to Argentina in front of a home crowd. A win at home over South Africa would see England head into the break content with their November showing while a loss would mean they only managed one win over Japan in four matches, not something they’d be happy about.
South Africa on the other hand, had a tough start to their tour with matches against the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the world. They lost both of these by narrow margins before routing Italy 63-21 last week. Their situation is similar to England’s—win, and they can hold their heads high heading into the break; lose, and they leave Europe only having beaten Italy across four games.
Odds for this one are 1.61 to 2.37 in favour of England. South Africa should be good for an upset here and a bet on them to win at 2.37 would be the best move.
