PGA Tour: 2023 BMW Championship | Round Two of the FedEx Cup Playoffs Kicks Off

2023 BMW Championship

From the Olympia Fields Country Club just south of Chicago, Illinois, the BMW Championship will represent round two of the FedEx Cup playoffs, August 17th-20th. The field is now cut down to the top 50 and with a course heavy with tree-lined fairways and high difficulty greens, accuracy and putting again will reign supreme.

ウィリアムヒルIn play will be a $20 million prize pool, with $3.6 million awarded to this week’s champion. With potential rainy weather and the best players in the world playing in crunch time, this is sure to set up another very entertaining event. Who will be able to go all the way and win the FedEx Cup in 2023? We use bookmaker William Hill to look at all the latest odds and find the best bets ahead of the first tee this week.

McIlroy is the defending FedEx cup champion and this is his time of year to shine. The Northern Irishman looks to be in great form and has earned his position as the top favorite. Jon Rahm is the most recent player to win the BMW at this course, but Patrick Cantlay is the current BMW champion, winning last year’s event.

If betting on the obvious pick like Rory makes too much sense, you can look to players like Viktor Hovland and Tyrrell Hatton. Hovland has been performing very well, tying for 13th in each of his last two starts, but also playing great golf the back end of the season and in big moments. Hatton is a fan favorite who profiles well statistically, being adept off the tee and around the greens, and sits as the 14th highest ranked golfer in the world.

For the best bets this week, we suggest using William Hill’s enhanced odds promotional wager for Tyrrell Hatton to finish as the top English player. This was listed under 2.00, but has been improved to 3.25. Hatton has long been expected to have a life changing win, and we say his time could be now. Those that prefer longer odds, it’s worth considering Hideki Matsuyama at 34.00 for a big performance to move into the final event with the Japanese player currently sitting at 47th.
