With Novak Djokovic out of the Miami draw, and Sinner under an injury cloud, can Alcaraz complete the Indian Wells-Miami double? Read on for our ATP Miami predictions.

Carlos Alcaraz to Will Complete the Sunshine Double

That’s right, we’re picking it, again. A 20-year-old to complete the Sunshine Double. Listen to what Alcaraz said in his post-tournament press conference over the weekend, and you’ll know why. The Spaniard declared that he’s “found himself” again this month, and is back playing with a smile on his face. With his first title since Wimbledon 2023, Alcaraz is back to his most dangerous best. This is a man who won 11 titles in the space of 18 months as a teenager, including two Grand Slams and four Masters, mind you.

Alcaraz also has a very nice side of the draw. No Djokovic, no Sinner, no Medvedev. The reality is, all other players are a significant step below Alcaraz, so he should waltz into the final in Miami. There, we back him to defeat whoever makes it that far as well.

Andrey Rublev to Bounce Back Strong and Make the Final

This is a little more of a dark horse ATP Miami prediction. The Russian has had a quiet month results-wise, at a time of year when he usually thrives. He’s had his share of struggles, with an ugly on-court incident marring his image recently and leading to a downturn in results too.

Fast moving hard-courts are Andrey Rublev’s forte, however, and with a few big names absent, he could well step up. Providing someone knocks out Medvedev early (Ugo Humbert could well) and Sinner’s injury continues to hamper him, the path could open up for Rublev to make his first final here in Miami.
